That running back for ASU only had 4O yards on wyoming and averaged 4 yards a carry.. He put 270 on us.. Yeh worst State defense in 3 decades..The DTs and LBs are to small and can’t tackle physical RBs..Imagine what Texas and Ole miss are gonna do to us..I’m curious why lebby used the portal so much for the Offense but didn’t bring in some better DTs DEs and LBS. The defense is so bad and it falls on Lebby..I think toledo beats us as well..😕

@@Kayluv101 it does seem like it’s one of their worst defenses in a long time. It appears that Lebby and company tried to get guys out of the portal on defense but swung and missed.

@@MyDawgsPod Dang I see. Well Purvis actually made some really good tackles on that RB in the second half. The RB even avoided hitting purvis a few times. Id like to see purvis and Russell play more in the middle especially vs physical running backs..Gonna be interesting to see what adjustments are made on defense after that ASU game.

Week 1 isn't really what you should judge Skattebo on. He was removed early in the 3rd quarter. They had a run by committee plan in week 1. Look at his stats last year and 2022. He's just a bowling ball. Was asked to play qb due to injuries as well. The guy is a flat out Dawg. He won't be asked to get 200+ yards every game but you'll see the bruising running every game.

@@elche1976 His numbers in the Wyoming game are similar to what he averaged last season man. Utah and Oregon held him to 30 yards..Even the colorado buffs held him to 50 yards..He only had two 100 yard games vs Arizona and Washington state. Mississippi States defense is really just that bad. We are in a lot of trouble defensively. Last year state held Bamas RB to 60 yards and the year prior the national champs starting Rb only had 70 yards..Not even derrick henry put up 260 on us..Neither bama or GA have broke 200 total rushing yards on us the last syears..
