There's a lot about his game that I don't like. Standing with his toes on the service line before a second serve and backpedaling at full speed during the opponent's toss... screaming like he just won the point of the century every time his opponent puts a ball into the net... a lot of gamesmanship in his game.
@HeavyTopspin

Oh god, and I just realized he also does the Sonego "grunt after your shot has crossed the net" thing too, even on slices where he's barely swinging. And don't even get me started on the 8:40 call of "Wide... (pause one second)...YEEEEEAAAHHHHH!"

Placement is very importance in tennis. Green shirt have power for days but didn't put enough balls in the court. On the other hand, black shirt is much more precise despite his technique. Going forward tho its gonna be simple for green shirt to develop consistency with his technique. Black shirt gonna have to make changes if he want to play in the big league. Still his mental fortitude and persistance are major assets.

pushing while being a rising senior isn't good, but what makes ashton win is his attitude and his will to keep the ball in no matter what, good job for him but he needs to practice his technique alot in the next year for him to have more power, because when he is going to play against aggresive players that can place the ball very well, his game is going to crumble. excellent players, good game to both

A pusher against a slammer. But this slammer lacks accuracy against slow (pushed) shots, so the pusher will always win in such a situation, unless the slammer is smart enough to become more patient.

This match took place towards the end of MN's high school Boys Tennis season at their state Tournament. Their season starts up in the spring/early months of the year so close to Mar/April-June. Every high school always has their own schedule of matches dependent on their coaches and athletic directors. You can normally find these specific tournaments after they conclude their team/individual sectionals tournament. As for matches, you can find it anywhere on their athletic calendars throughout the year, every "good" school will most likely always have a packed or full schedule of matches.

Green shirt has better strokes but it was pretty obvious who the better player was after the first game. Green shirt is the typical high school player that doesn't know when to be aggressive and therefore overhits and misses on shots he shouldn't. Black shirt doesn't play outside his limits and therefore makes less unforced errors which is how tennis is won at all levels of play.

That's a great strategy plan! Unfortunately Ashton is so defensive yet he can turn on the offense in a blink of an eye to pass players who come up to net. The intense part about Baseline Tennis Center is that the courts are quite slow too honestly so that's risky in this case.

Green shirt has far better technique, maybe needs a good bh slice. The opponent has a rather crude technique and doesn't swing properly on his fh. If the green shirt improved their consistency he has alot more potential. Bh is also pretty odd, some of the shots look like from the Brooksby style.

Why are there players on court in back corners? Are they peer pressure silent line judges? Otherwise they seem to be an unnecessary distraction.
@rickymoua8684
@rickymoua8684 Жыл бұрын
Those individuals are coaches of each player. The design of the building makes it difficult for coaches to coach where we're sitting because it's completely separated off so they're allowed to be on court for this situation. Only the head coach is allowed on court but they must always remain in the corners when points are live. Now that you mention it, it does have some sort of pressure implemented but overall all the players are used to it 😆 Pretty much a norm at the state tournament.
