I love the hyperbolic love-gushing that happens in this modular synth community, not only here, but on so many of these channels. You guys are such a family. I'm just getting started with VCV rack, I predict I will be a love gusher soon. I'm just beginning to appreciate how well-crafted your sounds are here, Mr. Azure.

@@stevenpratt6986 My love gushing started in the mid 60's and early 70's. I saw Pink Floyd in 67. Then came along Vangelis & Tangerine Dream. I have always held this as my music center. Given that, SA is just a tad better than mechanical contraption automation. He has musical taste. These stacks of arpeggios actually express moods, not an easy accomplishment. This particular song has buildup and drive. I would consider it one of his "hits." "It's a gusher," we struck oil. hahaha

I found my love for electronic music in the late 70s and early 80s with Eno, Tangerine Dream, Steve Roach, Kevin Braheny and many others. I never thought I'd hear something today that would bring me right back to those beginnings. I've been listening to this non stop for 2 days now. Thank you so much for this!

SA - "Thanks. But bare in mind, I don't make music for you or anyone else, I do it for me, so if I decide the next three tracks are like 10 hours of pure ambient tracks without beats, that's what I'll do." So smart. I did the same things 40 years ago. I was one of the first poly extreme athletes. Not only did I do it for me but I did it all alone. I figured out to make the most of my strong youth while I could knowing that when I get old I would not be able to do any of it in retirement. No cameras, no video, just a monster sized bucket list. And you have given me something to shoot at in my decrepitness. I read somewhere that you commented that you use "Halls of Valhalla" for your reverb. That's what I have been looking for all along. I really love the power behind this particular number that you have expressed. It really drives. Nice going.
@stateazure3 жыл бұрын
A lot of my music is highly improvisational, based on my emotions, inspirations and influences on a particular day - week, so I wouldn't be able to just create what other people expect of me at any moment, anyway. It's important I retain my integrity, filter out the noise of the crowd, and just go with what I feel and need to express. The particular reverb is 'Valhalla Shimmer;, the software version, I use others as well, but that's my favourite. Glad you enjoyed the track :)
@gizmotrongraphicsmusic93743 жыл бұрын
@@stateazure I'm going the Eurorack hardware version with these reverbs. It's mostly you making music and sharing it, not so much EDM or electronic noise of others that has had an effect on me. In the last year I purchased and sold a ton of hardware synths, drum machines, effects, and even the wrong Eurorack gear for what I want to do. I even sold my new Strymon Magneto. The DSPs with programable cards has me on track now. I only found that in the Eurorack world. So I have gone completely Euroreack for most of my sampling & effects. All I have is the Wavestate, my Variax Guitar & Helix, and my vocal controller on the outside of the two rows of 84 HP. In that small space are samplers, mixers, and effects. I'm using two Keystep Pro sequencers. I dropped all loopers and DAWs. No plugins. To look at your wall of modules and hardware that is displayed in many of your videos I can see that you are really exploring wide ranges of sounds and new patches. I came across your work while learning about "Love on a Train" by Tangerine Dream. Them and Pink Floyd have always been a music style that I have enjoyed over the decades. It's fun to watch you explore on your own. So thanks for what you do.

♪ ♥ ♪ : Beautiful as always State. The voice sounded like Alan Watts. There was another I did not recognize. I too had composed a piece a couple years ago using Alan Watts in it. It was taken from one of his seminars regarding the meaning of love. This ambient composition is slick in tempo and drive. Nice arrpeggiation and that random dynamic hit accentuation as well State. I'm currently working on a new composition as well and hopefully will have it completed at some later point. Sometimes I abandon working on a project because the ideas I had don't work out as I would have hoped for. But such is the way during composing I guess. ♫ As mentioned in your previous live stream video I missed because that bell didn't notify me, I had informed you in the comments section that I had placed your channel on my channel. I hope this was ok. Although I don't get bus loads of traffic, I nevertheless honor and value musicians that devote the same extent of meticulousness as I, the level of detail, and the immense love you project through your style of music. Your musical arrangements and presentations are not just heard but are deeply felt as well. I personally thank you and am in gratitude for your wonderful music. Until the next melody from the vastness of the aethers arrives in our hearts and minds, be well my friend. ♫
