As a kid I remember when the mall had the honeycomb and I remember they had a place where they were blowing glass and then another place that had practical joke stuff. But that was in the '70s. And then I worked in the mall from 87 to 94. It was a fun place and I had lots of great memories.. our mall crew would try and play football or Frisbee in the empty part of the parking lot by Macy's on our lunch hour but security would always chase us away. Also while I was working at Macy's in the early '90s we wondered into the JCPenney wing which was not officially open yet and Gloria jeans had opened their doors but they weren't officially opened yet either but we wanted it in there and got coffee. It was a friend and I from Macy's and the guy said we were their first customers.. oh, talking about Gloria jeans so 30 plus years later they are still open but I was the first customer in Gloria jeans. Not that that means anything.. LOL

One more flashback. I worked at Macy's.. I guess they didn't like me and they wanted to get rid of me so they'd send me out to other stores. They would send me to the Macy's at the time that was in Flatbush and Kings plaza just to get b******* supplies like gift boxes and shopping bag handles. First time I thought about that in years though.. maybe Queens too but not sure about that one. Things are kind of foggy from 35 years ago.lol

The biggest and best mall in all the boroughs. No other mall even comes close. Been coming here since I was a child. Loved the arcade that was here back in the 80's

There is a Dave & Busters now in the mall. Huge arcade room. Definitely the best mall in all of the city.

That arcade was right across from Farrell's. They would actually keep Farrell's and time out, the game room open later than the mall and close it off so you can only go in between the two.

Found it interesting with all those food places the longest line was at Chick-fil-A. Feel sorry for the Pizza place. Living up there in the land of 8's and 9's nobody wants mall pizza. Although I could guarantee that it is better than the Sbarro mall crap I grew up with. Also, my daughter LOVES Hot Topic like you. That's where she wanted to go for Christmas. Excellent video. Malls are fun. I usually don’t buy anything but occasionally there are some excellent items that are shockingly good and a good price too
