Where can we find the matching colors of flocking for GI Joe?
@ToyTinkerTim2 ай бұрын
I've used two different suppliers for flocking in the past (idk if Google may provide more on a search now), but these are who I've ordered from: www.flockit.com/order/products/soft-flock/soft-flock-fibers/gi-joe-flocking-fibers-1-2oz-bag-701-sp restoredoll.com/doll-flocking-gi-joe-size-dolls/

Thanks Tim , I just got a near mint 1973 Joe with a small bald spot on blonde beard. I may have to try this method . The only other issue is the tip of his nose is missing, Do you have any ideas on how to fix that issue ? Thanks again for your informative fun videos !

Thanks Mark, that nose is something I haven't encountered yet but I guess if I were to try I'd give some epoxy putty a go at it. I've used it to repair/replace broken thumbs on GI Joe figures from the 80s

Where do you get the rayon fibers from?

This looks awesome!! Question, was the hair pretty soft? I ask because Im needing to re-flock Sylvanian Families figurines.
@ToyTinkerTim Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching 👍 I can't say the hair on these figures are soft, it's really a fuzzy feeling. More than a flocked poster. The flocking fibers come in different lengths, so I know that would have a bearing on the softness end result. Sounds like a interesting project, good luck!
