Look down for precise jumping (better timing of initial jump and tapping "S" in the end to stop). Hold crouch or walk on little platforms to not fall. Lower your mouse sensitivity for better control. Try strafe-jumps to bait: jump forward and turn in the air making a half-circle, it is done by smoothly (!) moving mouse left or right and holding "A" or "D". Try on the ground to get used to it. You may agree that current struggle to jump in straight lines looks a bit retarted : )
