Thanks for the review! I've been doing my own nails for 25 years+ and have used just about every method there is! I also struggle with "air bubbles" under my thumbs and, like you said, if you are not wanting a sheer look it really doesn't matter... but if you love it like I do, it's very disappointing when you can see it. Here's what I have found that works for me, use more glue, basically "fill those bubbles". Yes, you will absolutely have glue overflow; however, it seems you have a good handle on how to remove it. My fav is cuticle remover, which I buy in larger bottles that you can just squeeze out around the cuticle and a bottle lasts for-ever! Now, if I had a press on nail hanging on as you've had, I'd add a coat of polish to freshen those suckers up and let 'em ride (because yeah, no nails are going to look fresh for that long)! But for those times when they gotta go, try filing them down. A great way to do this is with your handpiece, just remember to keep it moving so you don't create too much heat in one spot! With glue that's holding on for dear life, you may need to thin it down very close to your natural nail, so again, just be careful and go slow to avoid damage to your nail bed. Often times, once it's a little thinner, the "pop-off" is much easier. Hope that helps!

I wore a pair for 3 weeks. Loved them, I did everything with them, cooked, dishes, work and cleaning. My only negative about them is the removal. I tried soaking with hot water and oil.....didn't work.....I had to melt them off with gel remover....my nails were a little brittle afterwards....loved wearing them but not removing them...

Thanks so much for the video. I thought I was crazy because I couldn’t get more than seven days out of my pop-on manicures. I feel that the static nail lacquer last way longer than the pop on nails. I noticed that the topcoat would come off of the pop on‘s. I just toss them after each wear 🤷🏽♀️ Still worth the money versus going to a salon

I’m a professional nail tech. To remove I’d suggest getting a product remover, soak a cotton ball in the product remover and place on your nail wrap with foil. Wait about 10 -15 minutes and they should slide off. You can also use remover wraps. They cost a bit more than cotton and foil.

I’m a licensed tech also. This glue is very easy to deal with without damage or long exposure to acetone. I wouldn’t use a wrap or it might be a really soggy mess.

i feel like it's way better to remove the wit hot water if it works, instead of using another chemical product. You're licensed, and that's good, but if we can avoid using products and damage our nails it's better imho :)

Tip: put a gel top coat over top (capping the ends too) and you don’t have to worry about the actual nail designs scratching off! Once your top coat gets too scratched and beat up, GENTLY buff the gel coat don’t go so hard you scratch the actual nail and reapply! They will last so much longer and for more wears

Thank you for confirming that they aren't really reusable. I just got 2 sets at tj max at $ 4 dollars each. Also, it's very hard to believe that these don't damage your natural nails.

Have you tried repainting them with the Static Nail Lacquer? I love the pop-ons and have been wearing them for several months. Just tried their Lacquer on my natural nails and it is beautiful. I had tried OPI Infinite Shine on the Static Nails but it peeled off in sheets. I contacted Static and they said to use their polish. I am going to give it a try because they do have some gorgeous colors and maybe I can get more wear out of the pop-ons.

No but that's a great idea! I'm going to try that!

I was wondering the same too! Why not just repaint them instead of buying new? By the way Lauren, I was trying to figure out why you looked familiar to me. It was something about your eyes and then I realized, Sandra Bullock! Your eyes are just like Sandra Bullock’s…. Beautiful!

Totally agree about the brush on glue. Did not last long at all. I wish the tube was easier to handle though.

You mentioned that when your nails were very thin and roughed up the glue "loved" that and stuck really well. Do you have to rough up the nail bed to get the glue to stick? Will your nail beds stay healthy and strong using these? When I got rid of my acrylics a decade or so ago my nail beds were super thin and just ached. It felt like it took forever for them to grow back so I don't want to go through that again.

I feel like when I take off the static nails my nail bed underneath is all scratched up and rough from the glue and also buffing it before application. Any tips?
@stayy_lokeyy2 жыл бұрын
i heard from jackie aina’s youtube (who is like a pro at this btw) anyway she goes into much more detail on how to care for your natural nails and one tip is put bonding gel such as hard as nails from sally) on other side of fake nail (the side that touches your nail). she also uses long, more expensive nails from etsy and other places. and i’m sorry but if you have never heard of removing false nails with acetone you really have no business making a youtube about nails, not trying to be rude but that’s basic nail 101.

I would say it's the buffing that's roughing up your nails. Doing that step more gently really helps.

This was excellent thank you! I’m on my first set, made a bit of a mess with the glue but it still looks ok. I’ll use your acetone tip next time! And I’m on 15 days! Went heavy with the glue lol. Your review of the wear and tear is spot on. My mail beds are pretty short and small so I may be able to get a 2nd set out of the box? 🤞

I've heard that the patterned ones can get scratched, what do the plain color ones look like after a full wear? are they scratched or worse? I was excited for them to be reusable so I have my fingers crossed
@LaurenErro3 жыл бұрын
The plain ones lose the glossy top near the ends of my nails but it’s not too bad! It’s not very noticeable. Have you tried yet? I see you commented a week ago, sorry for the delay!

@@LaurenErro Not yet!! I've been super heavily debating getting them hahah but I saw that Nordstrom carries some with free shipping so I may pull the trigger (talk about indecisive lol I don't know which ones to try first)

How are you regular nails under the ones you apply. When I use to have my acrylics removed my own nails were very thin and slightly painful. Thank you for your video and the comments left by others who have worn them also. I would love to have nails but once they get past a certain point then just start breaking. Thanks for any help our suggestions that can be provided.

Do you know if the glue from this product is a cancer risk. I'm asking because I have cancer my fingernails have fallen off but they are now growing back and I just want to make myself look a little bit prettier it would be nice to know

Thank you so much for this information! I was wondering, what’s the best way to get the remaining glue on the nails off, so that they’re clean and ready to be reused next time?
@LaurenErro Жыл бұрын
I never reuse them so I'm not sure! Try filing with a glass file? It's not as abrasive and should smooth things out.
@crystald3655 Жыл бұрын
I would experiment with using a fine grit sanding band and an e-file to smooth things out.

What is the name of the buffer thingie you mention from Amazon? Thanks this was very helpful and answered a lot of my questions. I'm loving static This is only the 3rd pair I've tried. I got glue all over my fingers. Obviously using too much glue. But as you said I put down a pea sized. But I do want to buy that buffer. Do you have an amazon store?
