You know what part of this gets me the most? The fact that everyone thought for certain Jimmy would never do this. They all thought he didn't mean it. That he would never go that far or fight back. And then when they saw it happen, you could see their disbelief. How shocked they were that it happened. That someone actually got shot. And you could especially see it on the bullies' faces, how horrified they looked to Jimmy there, all angry and broken Virgil was right, they definitely got off easy, but at least there was some punishment towards them

I saw the “Jimmy” episode of Static Shock years ago, and it was so deep. The show and the comics always tackle hard issues like racism and bullying. Jimmy was angry for being bullied and wanted to take matters into his own hands. But, he would be in the wrong because he would have taken a life. Ritchie is right. “You’re all upset about this now. But next week, it won’t even matter.” He meant if Jimmy went through it, he would have regretted it and would have been charged for murder. They don’t make shows like these anymore🤍

@@Kojain That’s right; the teachers are responsible too. Teachers and coaches are responsible if a student or athlete is being harassed in any matter. Plus some of the things he described happened to me too. My bully broke my kindle, he called me names, he would intentionally take my backpack open it and throw it down a flight of stairs and then one time he shoved my head into my locker in gym class for a cheap laugh. Accept when he did it, my head got stuck. I was stuck in the locker for 3 hours before my gym teacher found me and called the principal. Then the principal had to call maintenance to bring a tool to help free my head from the locker. Then the next day, I found out my bully got in trouble and was going to be expelled. That made my day, but then my bully pulled a knife on me and threatened me for ruining his life. Luckily the principal was there. That day he was expelled and then taken to jail for bringing a weapon to school and threatening someone with a mental disability.

As a Canadian I don’t have this problem but stories come from the news about this more and more so it’s a good thing this show addresses how it starts, it’s bullying it drives people with a weak mentality to the edge and they can’t do anything but look for a violent solution, the other thing is definitely guns being aloud to even be owned by civilians, this all plays a role in it, this is the message of this episode and we need more shows like it .

It's sad because people STILL haven't learned from this nor Columbine. And Nick wasn't sorry like Jimmy said. He was only sorry because Jimmy was a threat to him at the moment. A Bully's biggest fear is one of their victims finally deciding to take a stand against their BS and Jimmy had enough. Wasn't the right answer mind you, but he still wasn't going to put up with it anymore. These teachers need to start punishing the bullies more and NOT waiting until the victim decides to take matters into their own hands.

When I first saw this episode, I've never thought Jimmy would took that far. I actually thought he's going to shoot Nick and maybe his two cronies dead for their bullying towards him. Nick got an scared look on his face when he saw the weapon and realized that he went too far with his bullying actions. Fortunately and unfortunately, he didn't succeed that goal and went to possibly juvie. He had let his anger got the best of him. However, I don't entirely blame Jimmy for his actions; he had to put up everything Nick and his cronies had done to him for only so long and I bet that's probably what finally makes Jimmy snap. But that's just me.

I did the same thing you did but I was lucky enough that the teacher was always around to prevent anyone from assaulting me. Otherwise he would have still continued on bullying me. Edit: I'm going to elaborate on the whole situation, the kid was obsessed with hating on me for being the shortest at my class so he thought that he would gain a lot of popularity if he keep picking on me. He was twice my size and one time he did something very unethical and he thought I would let it slide like always. when I saw the teacher around I took advantage of the situation and decided to punch him in the face multiple times. He wasn't able to process that I will go violent. Thankfully the students separated before the situation escalated and the teacher was on my side because I was his best student. The kid learned his lesson and he stopped messing with me.

This has got to be the darkest episodes of Static Shock. After seeing Jimmy getting bullied by Nick, Kevin and Ray, Nick had realized he and his pals pushed Jimmy too far until he cannot take it anymore, resulting him to pull out his daddy's gun out and attempted to shoot Nick for that. Tears of rage had poured down from his face before Richie gave him a speech that will stop him from shooting Nick, only for Kevin and Ray to tackle him. And the last result was Richie getting shot right in the knee in an accident by Jimmy, therefore he had to go to the hospital for his knee getting extra hurt from the father of Jimmy's gun. Utterly sad to watch Jimmy getting bullied and hear what Jimmy said to Nick after he had been pushed to far, especially when Rich got shot right in his knee by poor little Jimmy. 😢

Making them to be on the newspapers on the front page of what happened to the school or be on the social media.
