Definitely hard to find a manual these days, that isn't beaten to hell getting harder and harder to find especially with us, Fitment Industries, and Donut all putting new videos out in the last 2 weeks the Craigslist and Marketplaces pages are on fire! Good luck on the manual swap, not a job for the faint of heart also keep in mind if you are planning to power upgrade this thing look at doing a stronger trans than what came stock in these. Last thing you want to do is put in the wrench time the break an already weak transmission!

E46 and IS300 are basically brothers and rivals. The IS300 was build to compete with the German E46. We own both in the family (brothers)

@@StaticGarageUSA Yeah I got the Beams, no the famous 3S-GE Beams inline 4 though 😅 In Europe we got a 2.0L inline six (1G-FE Beams) with 160ish Hp, its still a fun car though :)

@TERRIBLESNIPER IRL Damn, they only cost 500£ in the UK? For a first car it's fast enough, most people with my age drive boring Clio's, 208's or Fiesta's. Plus if I ever feel like a want a bit more I can go for a supercharger which is relatively cheap to do :)

Just finished my manual swap a couple days ago, definitely a lot of things that could be covered way better on video! I went with the oem supra clutch and flywheel.I didn't see it mentioned anywhere but DO NOT use any spacers on the flywheel had to drop the transmission again because the clutch wouldn't disengage.(its on the flywheel for auto's)

Something that can't be stated enough for people looking to do these builds with a auto to manual swap, you have a lot of time and money in getting it done make sure you do it RIGHT! Also, if you are building for power don't just swap stock stuff use pieces you can count on for a few more steps down the road!

NA 2jz blocks dont have oil squirters, if you're aiming for big power i'd consider pulling the bottom end down and doing oil squirters and doing a 1.5jz build. Best of both worlds and would handle over 500kw no worries

Stock bottom end of a GE is different than gte, the rods are weaker unless you have a first gen GE which was in early 90s SC’s and GS’s. Stock bottom of 2nd gen GE is good for about 400hp with head studs and upgraded head gasket. They share the same crank as gte’s.

Great video and I subscribed because of the is300. The is300 has very skinny weak rods and the pistons are weak. Cost effective way to make the is300 strong is to swap the whole bottom end of a 2jz ge non vvti in the is300. Check out the rabid rb and race car and chill channels for this exact build. Look forward to more is300 videos!

yooo this is insane I live in the valley it's crazy, I just got an is300 for $3k and I'm getting parts for this swap slowly but surely picking up parts this week hope to see the the build!! Btw the best way to push power without breaking the bank is to swap the bottom end with a 2jz-ge NON vvti bottom end with gte head gasket and arp head studs. this be more than enough to hit your goal since it's similar to mine... sorry for the rant

Sweet! Perfect timing I'm doing the collins kit with the cd009! Hey the bottom end on the vvti ge is not as stout as the 2jzgte models so some people get oem pistons and rods and build or just 1j swap and single turbo. Na builds typically yield like 300 hp plus

Got mine from beluga racing. Had to use a y pipe instead of their H pipe since it was too heavy it was dragging. I have DC headers, test pipes, aftermarket Y pipe welded to those dual beluga mufflers/resonators

@@JDG.7R well glad you watched it, seems like the Interneters are starting enjoy that build more and more lately :) These kinds of builds aren't for the light of heart, OR for anyone to go into without their eyes open on the costs. That's why we're trying to be honest and forward about that build. Nothing feels as terrible as getting a project 75% done and flat running out of money then having to sell it at a huge loss to someone else. Just for the record, exhaust wheels tires and tint make an OUTSTANDING group of upgrades on these cars to start with!

@Desxo Esco Add a turbo! Nimbus is right, you’re able to make more power reliably and faster with mods. 2J’s are known for reacting very good to modifications. Where as a VQ, you run into a lot more issues!

I have a IS300 myself and it turns out the Rods are different too than the gte, The non vvti from the sc300 has the same rods and pistons from the 2jz gte,The rods in the is300 are skinner than the non vvti from the sc300

Thomas Tran I’m debating to either build the GE with these better flowing heads or get the GTE. Only different block wise is it has oil squirters on the bottom of the pistons for lubrications. Still have seen many people with 1000+HP on GE blocks

Gte just saves on maken a hole for oil drain for turbo. But prices on gte motors went up. Trying to find someone getting rid of there project lol. I just want stock bottom end build the head. And turbo and call it a day lol but you know builds cost
