Hey, but it doesn't make sense when we analyse the moment at A for AC.

The pin at B is two force member right? Like in CD THAT'S Why you worte the reaction is By

Hi, thank you for your videos. I have a question, why do we not include Bx as a reaction? I thought it was a pin. Is it a weightless link then? Thank you in advance!

Hello, if we look at the figure the at B there is a link attached to it. So similarly to what we did for the link CD, we disconnect this link at B and replacing it with a force that is in the line of action of the link. In this case this link was totally vertical and that's why only By is included. I hope this clarifies your question!

Hello Marcel, sadly I will be really busy this last part of Fall2021 semester. But you could guide yourself by one of my shear and bending diagrams videos: 1 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/m53RqIJ7ect_f80&ab_channel=LearningbyTeaching 2 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/opDOmYJmgrF6gbM&ab_channel=LearningbyTeaching 3 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gafTlpeOeNiDnpY&ab_channel=LearningbyTeaching 4 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJitmKGDeqiEsMU&ab_channel=LearningbyTeaching

Why are you neglecting to include the vertical component forces at C and D in the free body diagrams? Why are you zeroing the component forces at these points. Despite it not asking for them they still exist and can't exactly be ignored.
