Stationeers received insulated inline tanks by now... make sure to use those in order to reduce the number of accidents.

This is next level IKEA assembly 🤯

Awesome stuff. Great editing. Sets a very high standard for other build videos.

Wow that looks so much more involved than the rocket was like a year or two ago. As I recall my old mars base I just had to feed it some fuel. Assembly back then was just feeding the specific rocket parts things like tank kits, did not have to internally wire and pipe things. Clearly I have to dust this title off and give it a new play through

On their discord the devs have been sharing a prototype of a new terrain system which looks exellent. No exact ETA yet but I have a feeling that we will see more cool new stuff for this game after this has shipped as it adresses some fundamental problems related to world generation.

Great vid and rocket design, very appreciate! One potential improvement: if you don't mind scanner go out-of-shell you can move it to the top near the chute connector, and place another miner on the place where the scanner was (one block away to connect the chutes). This could bring you double mining speed with a tradeoff of being ugly (not really).

Thank you... great find btw. There is much to be improved upon this setup as well as the script. I squeezed another scanner above the first one today when testing this on venus. Wanted to make sure everything works in high gravity and it has been successful but one scanner was taking way too long on that map. I did not test this yet but maybe it might even be possible to slap another story of fuselage on there to make it even faster at mining and scanning.

i tried this but couldnt see a way how to connect the chutes so that both the outputs would go into storage.

Hi how can i find the Code. Sorry but the Link does not work for me ... Thx
@WIKUS709 ай бұрын
Hey... link got borked for some reason. Edited the link and now it works. If it still won't show the right page you can search for "long range rocket" in the steam workshop.

The landing looks not so...., or nice intercontinental nuke! Well done!👍

Thanks... came in hot this one :D gotta remember to adjust the landing maneuver when its still heavy after a very short trip. Good thing I had my hardhat ready.

Great vid. What temperature nitrous were you using? I was having issues with it liquifying and bursting my pipes.
@WIKUS7011 ай бұрын
Thanks. I picked a little over the max. liquid temperature from the the stationpedia so they stay gaseous no matter the pressure. Max liquid temps are N20: 431K (158C) VOL: 195K (-78C) If you go 5 degrees over that, it should be golden.

@@WIKUS70 so I tried that and had my nos at about 165C and 50MPa but I seemed to be getting terrible power output. Were you running differential pressure at all?
@WIKUS7011 ай бұрын
I roughly eyeballed it in the script. It takes the rocket tank contents and tries to pump it to the feed pipe segment at a consistent pressure. So even if your tank pressure goes low midflight the engine gets controlled pressure feed. The fuel mix with N2O and VOL is 1:1 but due to the large temperature difference The script puts the N2O pressure for the engine to 58MPa and the volatiles to 35MPa. I added two LEDs on pin d4 and pin d5 to monitor the engine feed pipe pressure. When you ignite it the engine for the first time it takes a hot minute to build up the needed pressure. If you use a much higher temp than -78°C for your volatiles you can increase the pressure for it in the script (MinVOLPressureFeed) until you get good engine performace. Long story short... my script is rather basic and won't adjust the pressure based on fuel temperature difference.... you either have to pick the both temperatures mentioned or adjust the feed pressure in the script accordingly. Keep in mind that you will get more thrust with chilled gas. My latest test using these temps resulted in 38kN out of a maximum of 40kN thrust.
