They sell the Stalogy notebooks as well as lightweight traveler's notebook which turns out it is Tomoe River paper. Ha! That’s why it felt like it was.

Great video and not bananas at all 😊 I find the 68 gsm TRP way too slick, like writing on a receipt.

Dre oh good. I did it a few times because I often get lost in my thoughts and go on one thing to another. I don’t really re-watch my videos otherwise I would never post. So glad it made sense. And I agree. That’s why I ended up getting the hobonichi. The other one felt too thick for me.

The Stálogy definitely has thicker paper. I like the thinner paper for Tomoe River. Although I’m really enjoying the Leuchtturm since I don’t watercolor one my notebooks anymore, although I do miss it.

CoffeeBookChick I love leuchtrum. I have used watercolor on it. Not the same feel but still works in my opinion.

@@LolaMoretto Yes, watercolor on Leuchtturm just isn't the same. The Tomoe River is so much better for that. I'd like to dive back into my watercolors, but have been massively lazy.

texasofmyheart yes that’s what I say in my video. I don’t either. People often mistake it for such and it does feel very similar and acts similarly. That’s why I included it in this video.

​@@LolaMoretto It is indeed not Tomoe River, as you stated. And it may feel lighter than the 68 gsm TR to the touch, but it's actually thicker, at 81.4 gsm. I'm slightly addicted - okay, a little more than "slightly", who am I kidding -- to TR 52 gsm and now that it's being discontinued, I don't know what I'll do when I run out. There are plenty of alternatives for the 68 gsm version, but no paper I have tried is as thin and as fountain pen friendly as TR, sadly.

I love the a6 size journals and have used Midori MD Paper. They discontinued their 100%cotton journals. 😭 But the md line is very nice paper. I just order a stagology 368 in a6 size. For journaling. We will see. I use the Tokaro inserts for my TCN. They are Tomeo River paper and come in 54gms and 68gms. Love them.

melissa Bridge yes I have a midori but ended up giving it to my daughter. I prefer lighter paper. But then again I used to use leuchtrum and still loved it.

Nice video, I’ve been using the stalogy A6 for about 3 years now. I love the paper and even though I can’t see the lines anymore lol I can’t use any other,,I have tried. I am at a point I want a thinner book so I cut the stalogy in 2. Now I have 2 notebooks and just replaced the missing covers with my own cardstock and ended up with a size I just love. I also went from an A5 to standard size , so I had the stalogy cut to standard. I have an A6 hobonichi I tried but I don’t like it, I don’t like not having the freedom.

I thought i was the only one!!!! I cant use the Stalogy because of how faint the lines and dates. I have one i started 2 years ago to track my health symptoms. I could barely see it and my charts started running into each other. I have been using inserts from Paper Penguin Co from the beginning of my fountain pen journey, almost 4 years now. Their notebooks are so nice.

I love paper penguin co. I’ve used stalogy now for school mostly. I still want to try it but yes it does feel like a blank page almost

thank you for this. I am obsessed with Tomoe River Paper and I really wanna replace my Leuchtturm bullet journal with a TRP notebook, but all the ones I've ever heard of have been sold out. I am looking at the Lochby Field Journal and refills or maybe Nanami Paper Company. I hear the Hippo Noto is still being produced but it is always sold out when I go looking

Uh I don’t think I’ve heard of hippo noto. Nanami paper is very good. But my favorite is the Hobonichi and now they have blank notebooks (graph notebook) thank you for watching. Now I have to check out hippo noto. 😁
