Interesting how confusing this can be lol as per what I understand parameter is any numerical quantity that characterizes a given population or some aspect of it. This means the parameters tells us something about the whole population..so essentially conditions we can apply to collected data to deduce whatever our objectives was...idk if I am wrong

They both are different. parameter is an unknown constant of population and statistic is a function of sample.

If we look at the standard deviation as one step from the mean, then k would be the number of steps away of the mean.

Very Informative but the examples used are too boring and old. Can't we use new examples which are actually related to current situations or data science?
