Dr. Leonard is a firefighter. He took the fire of subtle and boring details out of this subject and made it look like a breeze. This honorable professor deserves noble prize in teaching. He writes down and notes every little important (every point) in this class and cuts no corners leaving no chance for any student to be confused about any part in his magnificent lectures. He seems never tired or bored to make sure that his class understands and gets it. First, I thought that his pace was too slow and demanding, to only fall in love with his presentations and rewind the video to watch it or part of it over again if needed. Hats off to Dr. Leonard!

My class has no recorded lectures so you are helping me greatly and I am a student at the University of Idaho and I am finding my better instruction from you! Thank you so much for putting these lectures out here for us!

Hey Mr Leonard, I wanted to wholeheartedly thank you for this super clear, logically organized course full of relevant examples. I'm starting economics major next semester and I never expected to revise statistics during the summer but man did I forget all of this stuff. Pity the teachers/professors in our country can't explain it the way you do, I would have gotten an A instead of a D.

I want to thank you Professor Leonard! I'm a Los Angeles, California student and taking statistics at this moment. I came home today with a failed understanding of my first exam. I would say I got a D. My professor assigns our homework through Math XL which I despise! By God's blessings, I found your lectures here and determine to learn through this material another way. I look forward to virtually learning here and thank you for including the homework problems at the end of your lectures. May God Bless always and I'll be here in your channel for the rest of my semester!

Made the mistake of taking an 8 week college stats class online. I literally have the textbook for support and the textbook is the driest, most awful textbook I have ever had the misfortune of reading. This class makes sense. This is the best math teacher I have ever, well, watched. Suddenly the homework is starting to make sense. Statistics shouldn't make you cry. I've pulled my 65% up to an 80% in three weeks. Thanks, Professor Leonard!

I've been searching for an example of Sturge's Guideline for figuring the # of classes for a frequency distribution. The formula given was 1+(log n)/(log 2). If I remember correctly, the class size was 39, and I came up with 7.45..... Only whole numbers were an option, so I rounded up to 8 and got the answer wrong. Apparently I was supposed to round down to 7. Thank you for the video's they are really helping!

this was great! It helps back the information I am learning in lecture. Quick question though, you have arbitrarily chosen 8 classes but no real explanation further as to how you would determine this if you have larger numbers. In my class we learned the "power of 2" method to determine the number of classes. Do you teach that later on in your lectures?
