My definition of a stative verbs: any action which CANNOT start right now, terminate in 5 minutes from now, and then resume in 7 minutes from now (2 minutes after termination) is a STATIVE VERB. Namely, any action that we cannot start doing and stop doing whenever we like, is a stative. Since we cannot stop and resume our physical senses nor our mental emotions whenever we want .If I go blind now for some reason,I won't be able to see again in 5 minutes and then go blind again in 7 minutes and so on. Nor can I love something or someone now, and then "decide" I don't like them anymore in 5 minutes, and then love them again in 10 minutes. Stative verbs are not to be initiated. They are simply a state of existence.

Hey there, Alisha, I'm really into your lessons and your fabulous way of teaching. In regard to my goal of learning English, is to understand what the native speaker says and the conversations in the real world. in that case, I'm wondering if you could speak a little bit faster like in daily life. That will definitely help me and some of the students who want to build their listening skill up.

I think that only in American English it is correct to use like, love, want and sound in continuous forms such as "I'm liking" or "It is sounding". To me it all sounds like a total error. "I've been wanting to.." sounds a little better, but I still wouldn't use in writing. "I've wanted to.." is preferable.
