This question solved a very old doubt of mine. I now understand why the sample variance is divided by n-1 instead of n. I had referred a lot of textbooks, videos and asked professors. Everybody talked about degree of freedom and other similar things but nobody could convince me completely. This video, even though it is not explicitly stated has helped me solve that doubt completely.
