To be fair, I've only spent money on 2 movies, Spiderman 3 and Iron man 2 are the ones I went movie theaters for. The rest I watched illegally, or later on as I was not too interested until Avengers age of Ultron about the whole franchise as I did not know they were all related. Also in the 00s, The internet usage was not as popular, so more people would've gone out their way to watch the movies.

The fact that the original 3 Spider-Man films are where hey are, considering that all of the other top 20 are recent films that were obviously going to be bigger and bigger due to the MCU gaining more and more hype after each film, is ridiculously impressive. Spider-Man as a whole, every Spider-Man ever released has done so well! Oh and Andrew Garfield is criminally unerrated, deserved better writing (still enjoyed the films) but he should definitely get one more.

The Spiderman trilogy set up all of this. It was such a big blockbuster that it gave the green light to studios to start giving super hero movies a chance. If the original 2002 movie failed, we wouldnt have any of this.
