I just listened to a WBMX "Friday Night Live Ain't No Jive" Farley JMF Mix with this in it!!! I call this tape the "Farley What's Your Name Mix" because that night he was saying callers' names into his sampler and having fun with them. This acapella was playing over FACES Drums, then alone, then to Body Heat by James Brown = GENIUS!

I grew up in Chicago ( Lane Tech c/o 1987, Chicago State c/o 1993). The DJs on ‘BMX and ‘GCI spun this acapella in mixes so much that it was the 2000s before I knew there was a version with instrumental backing 😂❤️🖤💚. Timeless track. Thanks for posting!

In an interview, TONY HUMPHRIES said of DON'T MAKE ME WAIT by NYC PEECH BOYS was overlaid on almost every type of beat, thee default of "UNDERGROUND" ,well there were others and THIS acapella was another one, the year this dropped on into like at least 7 to 8 yrs after (more or less, depending on where you lived) this was like the 3rd or 4th acapella to be heavily used, HEY YOU!
