My dad was a big fan when he was younger, (he still is) he went to so many concerts and even has a tatoo of the band. He has showed me all the songs and made me a big fan too, this was my first concert going to them at 13 yrs old in our own small village. Really enjoyed and will never forget these lengends

I think they are really good. They have had to evolve over the years with the loss of various members of the band. Andy has been with them for 40 years and Rhino for 36 so they are hardly new! I think they are playing really well now, so keep playing please. Well done!

Too bad they don’t tour the US. I stumbled on them watching KZbin. The only thing I thought they’ve done was Pictures of Matchstick Men. Can’t get enough of this three cord ROCK

really nice intro - first time in decades i see Francis addin' something fresh to an old classic - i think a lot of fans would welcome such small risks, it would make their live shows more attractive - even if the new middle part doesn't appeal to me

Although they still sound good, makes me sad about the old days because the sound was much better ,boy they could play and they made you feel part of the concert, the fans were an integral part of the performance loved going to see them in the old days.

I know where all older … but who remembers the late 70s early 80s when quo gigs where intense loud sweaty rock and roll jumping up and down for 2+hours … Seems like it’s all slippers and smoking jackets now ..

Part of the audience is making so much noise at the beginning that it's hard to even hear the guitar playing. Why did they bother turning up if they won't listen to the music (and let others listen too)?
@stephenparker47352 жыл бұрын
You obviously never went to a Quo gig in the 70's the racket was enormous and the crowd very definately part of the show! This from the tour when the original band reformed. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jIWaimihiLernZI

Rossi finally gets what he has always wanted status quo thats all about him.everytime he takes the stage as status quo he takes the name and shoves it down down the toilet

Agreed. That is not Status Quo. It's the Francis Rossi band.
@michaelpowderly55142 жыл бұрын
totally agree. It's Rossi's version of Status Quo.
@urasam22 жыл бұрын
That’s demonstrably ridiculous. 1. Francis has always handled the majority of the songs. 2. The line-up has always changed 3. The songs they were formerly sung by Rick are now handled by other members of the band. So a Quo show is basically the same as it always has been.
@martinjudge7172 жыл бұрын
@@urasam2 so some else sing parfitts song some else play couglans and Lancaster parts and you regard this as the same .get a grip
@urasam22 жыл бұрын
@@martinjudge717 By your reasoning then, Status Quo ceased to exist in 1985 when Lancaster left. Or was it in 1981 when Coghlan left? Or maybe it was 1970 when Roy Lines left? The line-up has been constantly changing since the inception of the band. The set list for live shows has stayed pretty much the same since the 80s. Francis Rossi does not sing more lead vocals than he ever has. So your comment about him having always wanted a Status Quo that's all about him is just wrong.

@QuietBatperson962 жыл бұрын
@@davewatson2124 The Beatles had a few lineup changes in their early days and haven’t existed as an act since 1970, so that question doesn’t really make sense.

@@QuietBatperson96 I was making the point that Status Quo was Francis Rossi , Rick Parfitt , Alan Lancaster and John Coghlan The Beatles were always known as John Paul George and Ringo. What has the fact that they broke up in 1970 got anything to do with it. You are not very intelligent are you ?

A lot of Richie Malone's Guitar work is played in keys much higher than Rick Parfitt played it. It sounds light and 'tinny' As a rhythm Guitarist I like to stay down the bottom half of the neck. After John & Alan left the Band, Francis & Rick changed the sound of their Guitars. They moved away from the deep, rich sounds, to much lighter sounds. It can't have been accidental, they're not stupid people. The Cabaret QUO fans are similar to Elton John fans, that conveniently ignore the fact that he (Elton) hasn't been able to sing all the high registers since his throat operation on the 80's. Elton used to do all the high notes in Crocodile Rock, now the back-up singers have done them since Elton's operation. QUO haven't been the same or as good since SPUD left. 1982 & Back-to-Back had a couple of solid Rock songs the rest were embarrassing. Alan Lancaster must've felt very uncomfortable during those painful years leading him to leave in 1984, only to return for LIVE AID in July 1985. Nuff was a lovely fella, I met him a few times in Sydney. The current Cabaret QUO are pretenders. The crowds only go to the concerts for the iconic name and the iconic songs that they butcher and destroy. Have you all heard Rick Parfitt's final album?? That is a solid, thumpin' album. Rick's vocals are superb and sublime. The album's sound was full, with rich, deep Guitar chords, played in the right keys. Rick's album is a trillion times better than Cabaret QUO's mediocrity. During QUO LIVE's 16" 43' version of 4500 Times, was Rossi devising ways to destroy the greatest Rock Band in history. Rossi was thinking " How can I get rid of Spud & Nuff?" The first devious step Rossi took was to get Pip Williams to produce 1977's RAOTW album. I was very excited when I got the album home, only to be deflated and let down when I heard it. They were well written songs, recorded very poorly. Luckily, they bounced back in 1979, 1980 & 1981 with 3 extremely great albums. Then Rossi pulled the plug in 1982 & 1983 and QUO went down the 'gurgler'.............................
