There was nothing more satisfying than doing homework, listening to the radio and hearing these tunes for the first time. Valleri, Magic Carpet Ride, Rainbow Ride, Journey to the Center of the Mind, San Francisco Girls, Is it a Question of Temperature, Hot Smoke and Sassfrass, Talk Talk, I had Too Much to Dream Last Night, Incense and Peppermints. Such an era for music.

Rossi still banging away on that old Green Telecaster, which used to be an old Sunburst Telecaster when they cut that album. Classic.

Is not same one. The original is with maple neck.
@fueledbylove4 ай бұрын
@@kingkorg7583 You mean without the rosewood fretboard. My tele is like that all maple -- but no Green, I like the original finish!

I've always heard of this band but had absolutely no idea of what their music was. Until now. Damn, these guys are good. Got room for another fan?

Now that is oldschool. Sounds good... perhaps the band should re-record this song.

@LMilleniumT In fairness Rick Parfitt played on Pictures of Matchstick Men, their first hit single- he's kind of an original member, though the band had been together for a bit before he joined

OHHH I was surprised, how good would listen to the status quo in Mexico and to sing classic themes like these two, the psychedelic rock, yeah the power of the rock listen in Chimalhuacan and Nezayork

This is my favourite song of theirs. It's probably somewhere, although I can never work understand why they changed their style very early on

They were forced to play Psychedelic Rock from their own record label (The label where they were on told them with the genre they could make money and it was trendy at that time) , which they didn't want to do. They done it on their first two Studio albums and then went Boogie Woogie, where they still are today
@MrCaifanero3 жыл бұрын
@@tieukhavu8832 You are right, the first time I listened Status Quo was they playing rock ballads like these, and then, they suffered a musical metamorphosis when they left the ballads to start playing boogie, I didn’t know they were forced for their label record to do this. I love all the music of Status Quo, ballads and boogie

fantastic, just wish rossi had played the high solo part when rick sings 'she opens up her eyes....', it drives that whole part. still brilliant to hear them embracing their early days tho

From the first album, early sessions, remember playing the glissando on piano on "Ice In The Sun", the hook line. A little known fact.
