Idk. This man is arguing against regulations by citing a 1987 event where the NRA fought against regulations using propaganda. He’s not the only one. There were several interviewed during Trumps visit that argued against them as well. These companies have zero integrity and need to be held accountable just as you or I would be if we were going 70 mph down the street and caused a wreck. We need environmental and public safety regulations in place to hold them accountable. It’s extremely concerning they are siding with the railroad on that.

If dioxins are all over that area, these people need assistance in leaving and evacuating. They need assistance in setting up their lives somewhere else, because you cannot get dioxins out of the ground/water. It takes hundreds of years for dioxins to clear the area. My heart goes out to everyone involved in this disaster. Not to also add on, but I am, the chemicals in those streams lead to bigger streams which lead to rivers and underground water sources as well as nearby lakes, etc.
@kristiwolfe6904 Жыл бұрын
My thoughts too! Any waterways connected could affect a hundred of million of people. Dioxins are like agent orange. This was an attack not an accident. One guy who welds these kind of Leakey barrels said that you could toss them off a thousand ft. building and they still wouldn't leak.

I live in Pennsylvania, and I am sick of what happened to these Poor people, animals, town, the railroad also runs through my neighborhood, also owned by Norfolk Southern, so I’ve been doing research on them, One of the things I learned is that They got rid of the caboose, and the caboose conductor to save money! so if the caboose conductor was at the end of the train, he would’ve saw the fire on the train before it entered East Palestine. Also, there are no laws on the books concerning the railroad company to notify communities when they are bringing hazardous chemicals through that community.

Both of the residents make great points and provides lots of info we haven't heard. I can't imagine what all these residents are going through. They all will be in my thoughts and prayers. I agree with the gentleman the company needs to pay for any home or property that is affected.

GREAT interview, Thank You so much, independant reports are giving us so much information. Thank you. Everyone should be recording everything. Taking pictures of everything you see and putting it all online and to each other. Also, report and record EVERYTHING they do, everything they say, word for word, verbatum. Not heresay, not rumour. This needs to be recorded for the future. It will help y'all with lawsuits which will undoubtedly happen. Like he said, some people are devastated by this! Record everything you see AND what they do and what they tell you. Every day. The courts will need ALL the information you have to work in your favor. DOCUMENT IT ALL.

Yes. What did they use for the oil spills like in the Puget Sound disaster years ago? Some type of microbes? The research should be available somewhere but I don't know about fresh water contamination. The main concern is the people and their animals. Relocation should be a priority. Chernobyl is a sad lesson, too. Stay informed. 💔🙏

One expert estimated that the billions it would have costs to replace the car breaks would have costed the company 2 weeks of operating revenue!
@youtubesucks-yx6kk Жыл бұрын
Billions, to change brakes? they better be made out of gold at that price
@ritatodd1070 Жыл бұрын
It was not the brakes, it was a wheel bearings that they got alerts on 20 miles from Palestine, but they kept going until the axel actually broke, thus derailing the train.
@xr29fb32 Жыл бұрын
I think he means to overhaul the braking system on all of their trains. There was talk of that a while ago. They were to switch to a more updated effective efficient braking system in all of the railroad industry.

If these railroads aren't forced to update their infrastructure and braking systems and treat their employees better, this will continue to happen all over the country. I'm only 122 miles southwest of here, and it worries me. I can't imagine being as close as some of these people are to the disaster.
