Bulgarian households are not paying the highest electricity prices in Europe. Bulgaria's electricity prices are significantly lower than many other European countries. As of December 2024, the electricity price for medium-sized households in Bulgaria was €0.12 per kilowatt-hour (kWh). This is considerably lower than the highest prices in Europe, which are: Germany: €0.40 per kWh Denmark: €0.37 per kWh Belgium: €0.34 per kWh In fact, Bulgaria's electricity prices are among the lowest in the European Union. The country's prices are less than a third of what German households pay, which are the highest in the EU.
