I love these kind of videos Ruby! It's so cosy. My little girl is a few weeks younger than Goldie and I'm watching during her nap. It's so nice to see a realistic side of motherhood, makes me feel like I'm doing ok ❤

Hi Ruby. This took me right back to being on maternity leave. I remember those days of having to pack so much and spend so long to be able to get out of the house! But it doesn’t last long. By the time they are 3, you hardly have to take anything. And now, the time has flown and my boys are 11 and 8 and it’s just a case of telling them to get their shoes on (on repeat!) I remember following the Gina Ford weaning guide. It was a life saver. Even if you don’t want to follow it rigidly, there’s some brilliant recipes in there for weaning and also, it’s fantastic for food quantities and milk reduction. I wouldn’t have had a clue without it and it worked so well x

Hey Ruby. Great vlog 😊 I'm a mum of 3, I found the Wonder weeks app really helpful. Its probably a developmental thing for Goldie being so clingy, not just due to her only being with you (which will obviously be a factor aswell) but wonder weeks gives you loads of info. Also I found it really helpful when my health visitor told me "food is for fun" up until 12 months. I got obsessed with trying to get 3 full meals down my 1st baby when really it should just be to introduce flavours and textures. The majority of their calories should come from milk until 12 months, perhaps something to bear in mind when you were unsure of wether to increase/decrease for food/milk. You're doing great x

Heyy how come you filled the rapid cool with cold water and packed it? I’ve just got one and find it so confusing when it probably the most simple contraption ever 😂 xx
@RubyHolley9 ай бұрын
I filled it with boiling water - we have a boiling tap! Then it will cool down and I’ll do a hot shot of boiling water from a cafe or whatever in the formula bottle and then top up with the cooled boiled water xxxx

You sweet girl. Too much “single parent” whining. Young mothers today have no clue about doing parenting mostly alone. Had my kids in the 70’s. Whole different era. Raise 3 kids with hubby always on the road. Worked full time and kept home and children responsibilities mostly alone. Had no family near …. Count your blessings. 💕

Please don‘t mom shame her. Every mother is different. Some are resilient to stress, others not so much. And there is nothing wrong with whining from time to time. All my respect to you though for raising 3 babies almost by yourself. Love only to you

This is not a nice comment and does not have the intention of making a mum feel good about herself

Good for you ,what an awful negative comment ,mother hood isn’t a competition !

I was waiting for your negative comments to my opinion. It’s just sometimes you need to remember just how good you really have it. Stop going on and on about how hard life is. Seriously ladies. 🩵

I wouldn’t normally reply to a comment like this but I couldn’t help myself because whilst I’m sure you feel like your comment came from a good place, I feel it’s hurtful and patronising. If I came on here and bragged about how amazing life is and lied about how easy I find it all the time and how perfect everything is you don’t think that would be more damaging to people out there who are finding it hard? I’m honest and I speak my unfiltered mind about motherhood because it’s important to show that not everyone you see on social media lives a life full of happiness and perfection 24/7 and I think it’s so important to be open and honest and admit that being a mum is bloody tough, and whilst it’s the best thing that has ever happened to me, it can also be really hard, and for me and I’m sure plenty others, I find it the hardest when I’m doing it alone. I can be grateful for my life and my wonderful baby and still find things tough at the same time - the two feelings don’t have to be separate of each other. I hate this toxic way of comparing and invalidating women’s feelings because someone somewhere has it harder. Someone somewhere is always going to have things worse than you do and whilst that can help to put things into perspective, it absolutely should not invalidate your feelings. It would have been much nicer for you to be proud of the way you handled your motherhood journey whilst also supporting other mothers and not trying to belittle their feelings and make them feel guilty for feeling a certain way. There’s enough to feel guilty about as a mum without other women making them feel worse. I don’t think your comment was made with ill intent but I think it’s important to address it.
