I found your channel about 8 years ago and I'm so glad you're still uploading. My grandpa got me into bushcraft and camping, and he passed away during your 6 month break, so this channel went from just a great place to learn to somewhere I can learn while also feeling like a part of him is still with me. Thank you Ken for everything over all these years!

Hey kenneth, I've been watching your videos for about 15 years???? Or very close to that. My wife and I are on our honeymoon, sitting in a motel room, watching your videos. We drove through northern Texas today on our way back home to Alabama. We spent the last 2 weeks traveling the north west. Glacier national park, Yellowstone, Colorado, New Mexico, now we are heading home. Anyways, I'm so glad you made it out of that terrible situation. I too have been in that dehydrated situation on the trail. Yes also to the point of hallucinating. And also didn't tell anyone, i thought i was hiding mine but it was obvious to everyone that I was in a bad way!! Please be safe brother! I absolutely love your videos. I don't know you but love you as a brother!! I speak for everyone when i say, we can't make it without you kenneth!! Take care brother. Atb Tony

Excellent strategies. Thanks. If possible, taking cool bath in the river or running water and eating fruits maintain a cooler body temperature.

Hey Ken, a decade ago I started watching your videos while I was in highschool. You're like the bushcraft version of Bob Ross, because of that your videos helped me recover from depression. I fell in love with the outdoors through your videos and began exploring outdoors myself. Now I'm in college, studying to become a veterinarian so I can help animals and conservation efforts. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making videos.

Thanks Ken, you inspired me to make an ultralight solar oven for my trip on the JMT this coming week. Sits on my pack and is more for heating and rehydrating meals than for making cookies.

Bedouin people in the deserts of North Africa snd the Middle East wear clothing that is very different from what westerners wear. The multiple layers of fabric provide insulation, 🎉 the heat from intense solar radiation from getting the their skin. At the Sam time the clothing is loose and flowing… so the breezes can trace from the bottom of their clothing.. these breezes provide intend cooling through evaporation. They live in very hot and windy locations. So it is like a “swamp cooler”. Or large cooling towers in commercial building. In cooling towers, evaporation provides cooling to buildings. The reference articles in the video narrative explain Bosma this works in more detail

I live in Arizona but travel to Texas often. I just returned from DFW area and the heatwave. I noticed that there were no mosquitoes and very few bugs. Honestly, I'm usually attacked by mosquitoes. Do you have an answer as to why there were so few mosquitoes? Could it be the heat and less humidity? Again, love your videos.

High heat, and no "flood" waters sitting around is why we have had almost none this year in Texas
