Thank you for sharing. I am pleasantly frustrated with the cliffhanger problem. It is probably for the best.

I dislike the cliffhanger problems, odds are by the time the next video is out I'll have forgotten my answer.

If you search the left side position on ps.waltheri.net I find 8 pro games after 2000. In all games black play c7, not e4 :)

STOP THE VIDEO PROBLEMS ARE GREAT...BUT ANSWER THEM IN THE SAME VIDEO

Regarding cliffhanger problems, there are pros and cons (obviously). When I watch a normal video I am often lazy and won't bother to pause and think about the answer. By putting the answer in the next video you remove that option, forcing me to actually think! On the other hand it can be a little frustrating if you have to wait a while for the solution. Overall I think a mix of some problems solved in the videos (as it has been up to now) and some cliffhanger problems is probably best for my, and others', development- assuming there are people as lazy as me out there!

I agree with that.

I look forward the answer to the last video, but as long as you are making videos, I'll be happy to watch! I will probably have to break the problem responses into separate comments if I keep them this lengthy. My answer to the first problem. It seems like the opponent made the move because he has a wall along the bottom which could useful in responding to a shape you go to make with the stone you last placed. However, if your shape formed more towards the corner where he only has one piece, he'd better have the upper hand because the next closest stone with influence is yours in the other corner which would need to be extended out there, but would already be better off than if the opponent made a similar move. I'm thinking of the big trade-off here. Approach white's top corner at F17. As far as I can tell, my move is saying "you can have everything you've currently asked for, I'll take the other 2/3 of the board." ( I blame Nick Sibicky for why I narrate my plays )

I have no idea whether my move could work. It didn't involve fighting anything. oops lol

I definitely liked the cliffhanger.

Good work. You demystify the game far more than many other content creators. I rate you in the top three of the ten or so I watch

I'm curious: could you list those ten or so, according to how you rate them?
@sloughpacman8 жыл бұрын
Top three just now are LongstrideBaduk, Littlelamb Go and Brady, because I am learning a lot from their videos. They are not 'the best' in absolute terms and other subscribers will have their own favourites.

Thanks, I didn't know about one of those and will check it out.

It seems many people don't know about Littlelamb so it is nice to see someone mention him. His videos got me to the dan level when they first started coming out.

Let me also mention MrHaandi, another who provides a great insight into what it takes to get to dan level. I guess all the guys I have mentioned have something in common: they are working men (software engineers etc...) who play in their spare time. I prefer this approach to that of the Patreon mob who have a tendency to over-analyse (for my needs anyway).
