@@brainswag Yeah, this shows that she and the company have supreme confidence in the album and that it must be an LP to drop a pre-release with this level of production. Part of this may be that Chungha recently signed with an American talent agency to represent her internationally and this is the beginning of that international push by making sure she drops something visually and audibly stunning that gets buzz started for her album and lead single. Seriously the track and MV are so good you hardly even notice that it's Korean, which means it is the kind of song that can slip onto playlists of people that generally don't listen to anything that isn't in their native language.

I love how experimental this song feels, the song's structure is all over the place, but it somehow manages to keep the momentum going even with that anti-drop in the chorus. Also, It's really cool that she's using her upper register more than usual, which is very refreshing. THIS SONG IS SO FRESH

Since you're talking about the choreography (obviously) some more info: the main influence here is a style known as vogueing or waacking (I'm not trained in these nor in dance overall so if I get any terminology wrong please correct me). It's mostly associated with the lgbtq+ community, more specifically the drag community and it was pretty much popularized when Madonna released her song Vogue. The only other Kpop choreo I can think of rn that heavily included the style is the one to In2it's Snapshot (which was a runway concept and freaking fire if you wanna check it out) and I just think it's really cool. If you want to hear more about it you could check out Grace Grimms' reaction to Stay Tonight, she's a trained dancer and her commentary is very insightful

hi deacs!! i dont get bothered by your pausing and i love your reactions most of the time but here i had this thought that if its something super amazing and youre extremely excited(like here for chung ha) you end up pausing more often and it makes me feel like youre not able to take in the MV as a whole, like actually experience it for the first time because it gets so cut up into all these little moments? what you say its always insightful and to appreciate but i guess i was just worried that youre robbed from the experience of watching an amazing MV for the first time doing it stopping more than usual. just a thought tho. im sure you end up watching it later many times and then you get to enjoy it more in your free non video making time tho so maybe you dont mind it :) also dont worry about uploading late or whatever staying sane and healthy is more important!
