To anyone having trouble transitioning from F to Fm and getting that G string to ring out try putting your middle finger over your index like he does in the video to get more pressure on your finger to push down more like at 0:48. I just had to comment this because when I tried it it worked good for me so I hope this helps someone trying to learn. Thanks for the great tutorial too!

For the Fmaj7, I found it so much easier just to do an Am and bring my thumb over the top to hit the bass note and mute the A string.

For the circles, they mean it’s an open string, so you just strum it without pressuring down on any strings. Not sure about the X though, assume it means to not play that string
