The perennially nationally ranked Martin Luther King High School’s boys soccer team is comprised of immigrant kids from around the world. Coach Martin Jacobson (Coach Jake) believes in “learning life’s lessons and helping others. That’s two reasons why we’re on earth.” In this episode, Carmelo visits with Coach Jake and some of the kids to learn about their life stories, and how sport can save people’s lives.

+jb74a - not a credible claim. Do some research. You got Trumped on this one...or should I say "Cohened". This claim as made by a Trump counsel Michael Cohen in passing during an interview on CNN. There never was a hospital that the Clintons raised millions for and kept. The Clinton Foundation in partnership with the Bush family donated their own money to help Haiti and used their notoriety to pull in cash from outside sources. Obama, our last real president pledged over $100 million in US aid to Haiti. If you want to point fingers start with the American red cross and their mis management of their role in Haiti. If you comment back please come prepared with facts and real numbers from credible sources.

Well he is talking about what he did on camera, which wasnt anything IMHO. I dont see how asking a legitimate question is hating. This show is him promoting himself, not giving back to the community.

I'll bet he paid for that meal. Really though, visiting kids and hilighting their struggles is giving back. This was a great story and I hope all of the kids are inspired. I'd like to see all that deserve it get a ride to college or a shot at the pros.

English immigrant living in the US here. This is the future of team USA. This culture will dominate the game and put the US men’s game on the map against these big European clubs. I currently live in America, but I’m from England. Somebody asked me point blank, would you rather root for the USA or England in the World Cup. At first I was torn. England is my hone and we have been so close, but football/soccer in America needs to be bigger and it starts like this. That’s why I will root for the USA. I want to see growth in the country and it starts like this. Bless you Carmelo Anthony. Let’s put the USA on the world map and hopefully we can win the World Cup when we host it in 2026. 🇺🇸🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

have they moved to America to join the school or to they just happen to be immigrants? very sad seeing that kids going through trauma still, i hope he's okay. i hate all this anti immigrant speech that's so popular with right wing people at the moment, if you want a serious talk about the economics and strains on certain services then fine (even though immigrants help economies) but why would people hate the immigrants themselves when they are just doing what any of us would.
