I can’t thank you enough for giving such a great review of my husbands bonding mitt. I’ve been so anxious to watch this since this morning but was at work when it premiered. We also use our mitts to play catch with our babies. They climb up high and we signal to them by opening and closing our mitt a couple times and they jump right to it. We have fun with it. I love seeing how well Peka responds to it. That’s why we sent it, hoping to help all the scared little babies and their moms and dads who might feel anxious as well. Thanks again, I always enjoy your videos and will share your video too. Thanks again!

Such a neat idea! I have one too that stays on and one that always looks to get off. Especially close to their cage. Have to be mindful not to get close or they smell the cage and jump for it. Another very informative video always learn some new trick to try!

Great video, very helpful for me. A couple follow up questions. 1. Did or diany of your babies shake nervously when doing "stay on me training? 2. Do you think if you encourage biting/nibbling the bonding mit, they might think it is ok to nibble or bite hands with treats? 3. I back against the door and they go lower, lol or they just freeze. Suggestions? 4. I am constantly moving or blocking and cinnamon still jumps ,especially when moving. Do I have a super rebellious, no fear baby or am I doing something wrong?

GliderMama, I have one like that too! One is very calm and will not jump unless she’s sure everything is still and she won’t get hurt. My other one jumps no matter what. My daughter was moving her arm around and walking and she still jumped and scared us both to death.

Very helpful vidoes! Question, though: What do you do with nippy gliders? Not fearful, but young gliders who want to take a test bite out of everything. I've got a pair that actively seek out any exposed bits of flesh to see if it's edible! I've tried making the hiss noise, but it's not sticking. Do they grow out of this? My 5 year-old is not like this at all.

Help, me and my wife have a white face sugie around 9 months old. We got her when she was 2 months old, we tried taming her for a month but nothing works, so I watched your video and used the methods for months now. But she is still quite hostile to us, she will come to us for food but once she's fed, she won't let us touch her, she will always bite when we try to pet or clean her. Just recently she bit my wife's finger really hard and was bleeding.
@streetmermaid2 жыл бұрын
She's probably still scared, especially being the only glider. I would consider getting her a friend! But in the meantime, I wouldn't actively try to pick her up or pet her. Fingers look like claws and they're prey animals so she is most likely just instinctively reacting. Start back at square one with scent transferring. Its always good to do the fundamentals!~ I like putting their clean laundry in my dirty laundry so my scent transfers to their larger items. The glove in this video is a great tool to use as well! And for nail trimming I'd also recommend a mesh pouch so you don't have to actively grab onto your little darling. It's everything on their terms so nothing can be rushed! Just keep it up! Things will turn around eventually :)
@DemonX2172 жыл бұрын
@@streetmermaid thanks for the advice! How do you use the mesh pouch to trim tho?
@streetmermaid2 жыл бұрын
@@DemonX217 I just add their favorite treats to the mesh pouch and show them and they crawl in (one at a time of course!) my girls enjoy edamame and the occasional tiny tomato along with some headless giant meal worms instead of the normal ones since they take longer to eat. I use reading glasses to magnify their little claws that stick through the pouch and use an angled toenail clipper to trim. It takes some practice still but I find it a lot easier than grabbing their feet. I let them out as soon as their finished the treats so they don't get stressed out or feel trapped. Another good nail trimming tip I picked up is just to do a couple of nails at a time each day. Like when they're in the bonding pouch and do a little sleepy stretch and a foot pokes out that's a good time to get a couple of nails as well!~ I think it's really important to keep the nail trimming sessions short and sweet to reduce stress not only for me but for them also! Hope that helps :)
