They can't afford to buy a one bedroom quadruplex apartment out in Long Beach for a million, million point five. Young professionals live in breeding pen apartments, and married couples with kids are downsizing to "Tiny Houses" because they're broke. The whole country's messed up like that.

Actually, it does make sense. On one end, it could be a person's statement piece, if anything. If the owner is just broke they got the car to either make them self feel better about their situation (like an "I'm not THAT broke, since I have this" type of thing), or to make others think they have money. Or, if the owner does have legit money, they just couldn't find a nicer place to stay (or didn't want to spend the money on one, for whatever reason) so they just went there. Those are, at least, the more optimistic reasons for why someone with a mustang would stay there. But, in all honestly, Excuse Me Ma'am is probably right since I think a drug dealer wouldn't be as worried about having their car parked at that type of place. Client's see it, they know where to get their fix. Clients mess with it, they know they need to find a new dealer.
