Staying cool in a minivan camper!

This is not the most practical way, but it is an option! Plus this is one of my very 1st setups for my camper van, I don't use this airconditioner any more, now I use fans, becuase I opted for more space, but this kept me and my puppies plenty cool!

When I have done air units on tents I have had to cover the tent with a tarp so I would lose the light but I was able to get it cool that way. It isn't easy but it can be done, but on power or massive solar and back up. I did like what you did. Made it feel so much bigger with that tent.

I love your set up. Does the mesh magnetic screen stay up alright when you open/close the door? Also, does the screen also hang inside the door frame with magnets? Thank you so much! This is a fantastic, well-thought out design.

Yes it stays into place and I can still open and close the door! And it's attached to the door by velcro strips 🙂

I love, love, love your stylish van set up. But I am curious to why you change the direction of your bed? I remember previously you had your kitchen right behind the front seats and your bed sideways.

Yes I did. I changed the direction of the bed, because when I did have people come with me, they would have to climb over my bed to get to the other side, so I changed it to make a straight path through plus it gave me more room this way 🙂

I'm trying to figure out how you have the awning thing coming over the car and then connected to the tent on the side of the van door. I feel like I'm missing something. I'm planning a family camping road trip and having the ability to have the van connected to the tent would really help out this family of four with space! Thank you!

It's actually just a matter of lining up the tent door with the van door, and then I closed the flap of the door into the passenger side door. Then I used like 4 tarps, it can be done but it's difficult to try and explain how
