I remember telling my mother around 21-22 years old that "I didn't think alcoholic's where real, they where weak men", and she yelling at me in away that she never had before, I didn't know that her father my grandfather was a alcoholic at the time, and my grandpa was a absolute bull of a a man he had 6 children 1 son and 5 daughters he kept them alive by paving the freeways of America and would shoot a deer every fall without fail to feed them. he was a man of granite as far as I was concerned who I had no idea struggled with alcoholism every day, to this day I feel dumb for saying that, because that's who I became.
