When you are groomed you don't realise what you are doing and saying is wrong. You begin thinking in a way that others want you to think. They mess up your mind especially vulnerable people like ste. Here at least they've shown ste realise in the end in real life I've personally read cases of vulnerable girls that were groomed for sexual activities that still don't accept they were groomed and think the people that did this to then are innocent and their friends. Grooming is a sick process which sadly messes up the person's mind for a very long time.

It started with him being angry at Misbah, blaming her for Tegan's death. And Stuart and Johnny took advantage of that and messed with his head. (They GROOMED him). I'm not making excuses because what he did was wrong but he is sorry. As for the tattoo, he can get it removed.
