The quad AC5 CTF-4X!! One of my oldest established builds (been using it since 2013ish). Recently came back to MWO and its still good!! Mine runs (much) slower at 48 kph so I use it like a mini-Direwolf. It really can turn Direwolves around!

i've been using the LCT-1V as a guard-dog lately. ERLL+T-COMP iii means no one gets free damage on my assault friends, no matter how far away they are.

@@AdamSternberg Double heat sinks upgrades the heatsink that are built in to the engine as well, external double heat sinks should actually be called 1.6x heat sinks, but heat sinks in the engine get 2x the effectiveness

I was born and raised in North Carolina, so hearing a European commenting on NASCAR gives me serious giggles... Every... Single... Time... NASCAR was started after Prohibition for those that don't know, and based on distractions for the cops of the time so the speedy cars would loop and play squirrel for the fuzz while the trucks would get through and deliver their product. It was popular in North Carolina because of the swampy delta/Outer Banks allowing for ships off coast to drop product and a quick distribution to inland holding areas. Blackbeard appreciated the terrain for the same reason. "Smokey and the Bandit" was popular because of taxes. They were transporting Coors, and in those days I remember requests from people vacationing out west to share with the East Coasters. You could transport a couple cases by federal law at the time, but dancing states rights on transport was a bitch and a half, and usually trebled (if not more) the price by the time it legally hit the shelves. Coors is good for $2 to $4 in a bar for a 24 ounce, but imagine if it cost $5 to $20, in 1977 dollars.... :P Ergo piracy, Blackbeard, and North Carolina being NASCAR central. :)

Hay Baradul, if I may make a request on classic mechs, how about a Hunchback 4P game if you haven’t played it in a while? I’ve been rocking mine with nothing but Med Lasers. Six in the hunch, one in the arm and head. Then the biggest light engine I can afford and all the heat sinks I can fit in.

Better to put ammo in the right arm, rather than left torso, so it would be used first. IMO

Unless I am mistaken, the head and CT are used before the extremities, and the side torsos used before the arms. So really that wouldn't have made a difference unless you relocated the head ammo also.

Dude, that isn't just my build, it is my paint job! Back when I was playing Solaris this thing was a BEAST. It's biggest handicaps are low speed, low weapons, and low ammo. In Solaris that doesn't matter. This thing would move to where it had a clear line of sight for its weapons and just facetime anyone to death. 20, 20, 20, 20, 20... That is about 7 seconds of shooting for 100 points of near pinpoint damage with no danger of overheating. I love this thing in Solaris. Sadly it doesn't shine as much in regular play. The skills are wonked though... You do not need that much cooling. The SLs are a last resort and without them you can hammer those AC5s all day with hardly an issue. SEISMIC SENSOR!!! Worth its weight in gold. Also throw in more structure.

Back when you had to master 3 variants of a chassis to fully upgrade your mech I did a build like this on the 4X (running at a snail's pace because STD engine only lol) and the low mounts made me want to pull my hair out. Sold it the instant I was done with it. Great that you were able to do well with it for the video but my hands are thoroughly washed of the thing. 😣
