Steak And Guinness Full Meal Pie

Today i make a steak and guinness with carrots mushrooms and roast potatoes all in the pie.

You could of done a cauliflower cheese to serve with those pies. They looked good btw, your improving with the pastry.

Cranberry sauce and turkey, redcurrant jelly with lamb and game, caramelised onions with liver...so what's weird about jam in a pie? It's there to balance the bitterness of the Guinness with a bit of sweetness, but you wouldn't actually taste "jam". Having said that, I'd probs go redcurrant jelly.

Theres a channel I watched about a butcher who makes pies like this and stew and these pies you made if you had left the pastry off and put the pie dishes in the fridge till the next day and then added the pastry and oven cooked them they would have tasted even better. its just a tip its kind of like how people will tell you if you have ever tried stew the next day after its been cooked it tastes 10x better because the flavours get a long time to combine with each other and something strange happens to the gravy that makes it delicious.

I've just licked my screen👅, that looks boss👍. I'm a pastryphobe, too. We don't see eye to eye, we fight and pastry always wins. I'd have to top that with mash, or sliced par boiled spuds....damn your eyes to hell, Jus Roll👀😈. Thing is, I'd have to have mushy peas with it, pie ain't pie without mushies imho. The good ol Guinness and Steak pie. Even without the pastry, served with mash a Guinness srew is wonderful. You did a great job making these and the shortcrust one too. The old Guinness Pie foodi guy 👍🤤😀

Great job Keith,love the jam idea,I’m sure it added to the lovely taste of the gravy.If you have left over bits of puff pastry it’s nice to sprinkle a bit of sugar,and cinnamon on it,and bake it till crisp,instant dessert, of cause you could really tart it up with cream,or ice cream.

Hello Keith. Im getting a little lost with your channel tbh. Are you a food reviewer or cooking channel? Are you cooking and pricing products and comparing from different supermarkets?
