Recipe:
A good quality steak. I used a 2+Lb prime rib steak.
1/3 Cup water
4 Cloves garlic, peeled
2 Stalk green onion, chopped
A big handful fresh sweet basil leaves sliced
4 Tablespoons soy sauce
1-2 Tablespoon oyster sauce
1-2 Tablespoon sesame oil
4 Tablespoon palm sugar , or light brown sugar
1 Tablespoon fresh lime juice
¼ to 1 Tbsp. black pepper to taste
4 Fresh hot chili peppers chopped or chili flake to taste(optional)
Directions :
Put meat in gallon sized zip lock bag and set aside.
Mix all marinade ingredients in a bowl and let sit for 15-30 minutes to let the flavors marry or you can put the marinade ingredients in a blender and blend on high and then let the flavors marry before use.
Pour the marinade mixture over the meat in the bag and marinate for 4 to 24 hours in the refrigerator.
Cook/grill the steak at 390 degrees in airfryer or grill on the BBQ until medium rare or to your liking and serve with sliced cucumbers and white rice. Enjoy!
While steak is cooking in the air fryer pour marinade into a pot/pan and bring to boil and then to simmer on medium for 2-5mins. When steak is done plate with rice and spoon some sauce over the steak and/or rice as well.

You should try the cambodian most simple pepper vinaigrette -Salt and pepper -Lime or lemon -Garlic -parsley or coriander (optional) And some sugar if needed. It’s amazing with steak. Recommended Rare for this binaigerette.✌🏽 From a Cambodian teen.

Hi Richard, I am a new subscriber. Thank you very much for this inspiring video. I can't wait to try making this recipe. Is there a way I could sous vide a chuck steak then sear/finish in an air fryer and get a similar char as you did? I am thinking about getting the same model air fryer as you have to increase the air flow around my dishes when air frying. I attribute allot of mediocre air fryer dishes to over stuffing the unit beyond it's capacities with ingredients.
@RichardBlaine
@RichardBlaine 7 жыл бұрын
Yes of course you can do that! Just remember that when you are done with the Sous Vide that you make sure that your meat is REALLY, REALLY, REALLY well dried off and you can opt then to also dry for a couple of hours in the fridge elevated on a rack and then go for it and it should come out delicious! Let me know!

Would marinating the steak for 48 hours be too long, or should that be just fine?

OH MY GOSH, I'M SO HUNGRY NOW. DO YOU THINK IT WOULD WORK USING FRESH PRESSED APPLE JUICE INSTEAD OF SOME OF THE SUGAR, LIKE 1/2 AND 1/2 ? I'M SURE HAPPY RILEY, YOUR DOG IS GOING TO GET SOME OF THAT TOO.

That Airfryer looks really nice. I added it to my cart on Amazon from your link so I can pick it up in a week or so. Does it make a difference in the colors? The green one is over $20 more than the black and white.

NO, THEY JUST CHARGE YOU MORE FOR THE PRETTY COLOR OPTION.

I think the green is just a more popular color I know I like it as it matches the paint in my house but for the savings I would just go with black and white and I am sure you will LOVE this machine!
