Kevin Keegan. He got some abuse from Leeds fans, including being felled by a missile thrown from the Kop at Elland Road when playing for Newcastle in 1982. But I have so much respect for him. He allways said great things about that Leeds team and the manager Mr. "DON" "RAVIE". Plus that leeds team most of them came throught the ranks at leeds utd expect Allan Clarke, Johnny Giles and Trevor Cherry what would they be worth today. Allso Vinnie jones would'nt have lasted 5mins against that "LEEDS" team. Jackie Charlton would have had him in his little black book and Norman Hunter would be biting his legs. One of the best and competitive games I ever saw was a home defeat for my team Everton in a FA Cup 4th round reply in January 1965 at Goodison Park. After a 1-1 draw at Leeds on the day of Winston Churchill's funeral. I was confident about the replay. But to two sides packed with internationals played a fiercely fought game until late in the second half when Jack Charlton scored, followed quickly by a breakaway goal from Don Weston. Fred Pickering replied straight away. And with minutes left Alex Scott was flattened in the penalty area and Ref Kevin Howley refused to award a penalty. The gate was in excess of 66,000 that night and the clash between Bobby Collins and Dennis Stevens was two great midfield players. Everton won the FA Cup the next year. Though the late 1960s Leeds team were outstanding, and should have won more trophy's.
