Kosmo's Q BBQ & Grilling

Күн бұрын

On today’s video, it’s all about steaks on a Traeger grill! We’re firing up the BRAND NEW Traeger Timberline XL and cooking some giant ribeye steaks. The Traeger is loaded up with hickory pellets, running at 300°F, and getting ready to attempt a reverse sear on these massive ribeyes. And for the rubs, we’re using the go-to trio that won me the 2015 Steak World Champion title - Cow Cover, Dirty Bird HOT, and Texas Beef. Once these bad boys hit the Traeger grill, we’re smoking them to an internal temperature of 130°F, then searing them to perfection using the induction burner, a big ol cast iron pan, and the perfect garlic herb butter. Get ready to be disappointed by steakhouse ribeyes for the rest of your life!

I have been religiously using cow cover hot, texas beef, and msg on all my steaks. your seasonings are the best. I smoke my steaks on my camp chef pellet grill to 125 deg internal then sear them off on the flat top griddle on the side burner. My last order was like 10 lbs of rub and ive probably used 25% of it in the last few months.

I don't have a pellet grill but I do about the same with my Weber kettle. Been using Cherry wood and the color is fantastic. Seared off in a screaming hot cast iron skillet and you've got a steak.

I usually cook my steaks sous vide to 130*, then finish them on a Weber charcoal grill or in a cast iron skillet with butter and herbs as you do. Now you, World Steak Championship winner, say I can do better? Hold my beer while I plug in my Treager smoker.

@@KosmosQ I fired up my 8 year old Traeger smoker, seasoned 2 hand-cut NY Strip steaks, and smoked them for 35 minutes @300* (to internal temp of 132*). Then dropped them in a Wagner cast iron skillet on top of a blazing hot pile of charcoal in my Weber grill. After 1-2 minutes per side in the herbed butter they rested for 10 minutes and now I see why you are the Steak World Champion. Excellent flavors: light smoke, sweet, spicy hot. Pairs well with (insert name of your favorite beer here). Since I'm name dropping (or product endorsing): Kosmos Q Cow Cover, Hot Dirty Bird, and Texas Beef rubs.
