It all starts with design. Then our good friend @ruchithlankeshwara builds the characters in a 3D. We figure out how to break the characters into parts that will be printed or parts that need to be molded. When building the molds we have to try and avoid undercuts and areas that are too thin to put in a moveable skeleton called an armature. Sometimes areas are too thick and the silicone pour will not allow the armature to move. Then paint, assemble and prep for animation. Usually there is a test in there to make sure they work properly.
