Also the Aircraft that took off first was the Typhoon display teams new livery “Blackjack” and the display pilot was in it that day, Flt L Adam “paddy” O’hare the current display pliot if you go their again more than likely you will see him display over base which is 4x louder than the usual departures, unless it’s a performance take off (go vertical after take off)

hey! I'm from Coningsby, I would check out a village/small town called woodhall Spa nearby, lots of history there, the petwood Hotel, where the 617 sqdn lived and drank is a must to see!

I live in Lincoln and know quite a bit about RAF Coningsby. I don’t know if you’ve been told this but it is 1 of 2 RAF QRA stations or quick reaction alert bases used to defend British airspace from any unauthorised aircraft entering our airspace or if an aircraft is not responding. The jets are eurofighter typhoons. Love the video

Moved here a few months ago, although this is the main area to park up there is a spot where you can have them fly right above you, there's a main road that is under their flight path between 2 train track stop signs you can't park you car their but its cool to watch them fly over you (I havnt stood their so locals may say not to but we've sat in the car waiting for the signs and my daughter loved it)

Lovely video, one a year i drive up to RAF Coningsby and then down to RAF Lakenheath, what you would have seen on the day flying would have more than likely been 29th squadron, typhoon training planes along with Black Jack the display plane

Tattershall castle is gorgeous on a clear day you can see Boston stump. It’s a church in Boston. Soooo jealous u guys got to see the lanc I grew up sat in school watchin it out the window at what was gartree gm school. Xx now a member of Lincolnshire Lancaster association 🎉🎉 xx

Love following you two on all your adventures. The planes were incredible. I am a big WW2 history nut and I have to tell, if you already did know. You got to see some of the top of the line aircraft. Did you know early on in the war, the US was sending you guys some of our small fighter planes. When you got our planes, you took the engines out and replace them with Rolls Royce engines.

Actually the Brits bought a fighter the US didn’t want. Took out the Packard engine, put in the Rolls Royce Merlin and the vastly improved result was called “Mustang”. The USAAF soon learnt their mistake ...

i live close to raf coningsby....never tire of the planes (old and new) flying overhead.......true story about new york the village you drove through,my sister lives there,my brother-in-law was cutting his front lawn when a car pulled up an american guy from the other new york who was spending some time in london had driven up especially just to see the other new york!!! you should have gone on a bit to the picturesque town of woodhall spa ,home to the famous dambusters

Great vid man, I’m a plane spotter and a photographer and have had some memories at Coninsby, you should definitely try to go to RAF Lakenheath, is a Usaf base and the pilots are a lot crazier their and do a lot cooler stuff in my opinion!!

Nice video. I was walking along the river from Tattershall to Coningsby on 2 June, and the Lancaster flew overhead me at a few hundred feet, wheels down. Pethaps on the downwind leg of a landing approach? An unexpected treat.

When the 2 fighter jets pulled up they were on alert because an unauthorized aircraft was in the airspace. This is called QRA Standing for Quick Reaction Alert

You 100% drove past my house to get there ✌️ when they fly over I can see underneath of the plane from my bedroom window and just relax in my garden during summer and enjoy the fly overs without having to travel, glad you enjoyed it ✈️
