Your dialogue at the end is well received, at least from my perspective. There is no doubt to me that we are headed into a very dark place for both our nation and indeed the world. Wisdom to be free and to exercise both strength and mercy will be needed to get us through whatever may come. We are such a divided people now and communistic marxist thought is so prevalent in our public institutions. We will have to build communities of people willing to stand by each other and be a team, which is exactly what you are always saying.

Now as a younger retired firefighter, Author, and new content creator, I find myself rewatching your videos to see how you actually make them. I appreciate your content. I now have some gear, barely, what money I had that was not taken by their corruption, I purchased what I could find, ridiculous prices, Less availability of important products. However I remember the importance of knowing the use of Compass(properly) and I am reminded of my Sgt. Instructor expressing that if you fail to follow his instruction, well you are on your own in the middle of nowhere and No One is going to look for you. Here is your knife and compass , good luck. Also Sgt. Riggs would really enjoy some Elk Jerky.

Spot on correct about legalizing drugs which alter society in a negative way. And criminalizing honest gun possession. The short version is good is made to look bad and bad is made more acceptable little by little. A new administration is needed but society needs better standards and guide lines. Not to mention history lessons.

The figure 4 path is a good one and in that area a tracker shouldn't be able to age tracks to tell which was laid down first. Stride and straddle might be a clue though. When people start on a walk those are different than at a mile or two in. I don't see straddle mentioned in literature nowadays, it's how far your tracks go laterally. Stride and straddle tell a lot about the health, energy and emotional state of the person you're tracking. Measure boot length and width also. I learned to mark a stick with rubber bands to carry all of this info doing rescue work. You also started with Riggs, looking for you, I wouldn't follow tracks that weren't accompanied with his tracks. That looks like nice spongy moss, it's a pain to track on. You might want earphones with the radio, quieter. As far as modifying plans for the tent and the fire hole, "No battle plan survives contact with the enemy." von Moltke the elder. Great job on both!! Smoke likes to follow trees up also. lol Be careful with this one. Love the amount of tabs on your tarp!! Salmonella dies above 130 F. Slice chicken (or Iguana) like you did, blacken it slightly and you should be okay with chicken (tastes like the Iguana at JOTC Fort Sherman, Panama :-D ). Food in general is pretty safe after boiling. A good stew fits the bill. As far as refrigeration, meat is the only thing that needs to be kept under 40F. And even without, if you cook it, the harmful stuff becomes just more protein. Pressure canning takes food to 245F for long enough that that temp can get all the way through.

Good navigation Stoker. Riggs looks to be a good friend in the woods. Thanks for the chat too. I must be too old and to set in what I was taught are the right ways to even listen to much of the crap some leaders and media are pushing! They've now gone beyond the proposition stages and into implementation. Crazy,crazy and sad the direction we're being led and the division continues. On this path I expect to see states leaving the union sooner than many realize. As always Thanks for what you do Sir And Stay Stoked!

I like the detail you put in your videos. As far as the future of this country I believe one side of the political spectrum has already shown a tendency toward temper tantrums that result in loss of property and life (reference 2020 summer of love). Thus I believe finding a like minded tribe would be a good idea.

Okay I was excited by the title. I was thinking, "Yeah! Stoker's gonna scout him some elk! Hey, I didn't know he elk hunted!". Okay a couple tracks... Oh alright. 🙄I have to admit though, the pacific north west looks way different on elk compared to the mountain west. I liked the shelter, multipurpose, and the figure 4. Sometimes you don't want people to know which direction you went. Other hunters in particular. 😁

I would do it a little different when you 1st walked away from the truck I would rate in 3 different directions making sure people would know I was going that go away Backtrack After tracking 3 different tracks Start it your truck again Who are a big pair of wool socks Put on my new boots That's gonna make your footprints look like the old really old and it's gonna come disguise everything and if you really want you get a attached branch With some brush on attached behind you on it cover your Track even more They would have to be a really who really good track of the track you have to that That's the best way to avoid somebody Just using basic skills

Making drugs legal would probably end drug abuse epidemic because it would put the pushers and cartels out of business. If they do away with 2nd Amendment the black market would make more money than they ever did running drugs. We could look at the prohibition as one example.
@phoenixrising4073
@phoenixrising4073 Жыл бұрын
Totally true. The argument people use against this is to say that "Marijuana has been legalized in California and there's still a black market." What they fail to mention is the ridiculously high tax rate the legal vendors have to endure, raising the price to nearly unsustainable rates. Lots of would-be legitimate farmers are forced to use the black market or suffer going out of business. I think full legalization is what is needed, not the "legally regulated" or whatever system we currently have. For the record I do not smoke MJ, so I don't have a dog in the fight.
