This video is longer than I wanted but there was a lot I wanted to show. I added chapters / time stamps so you guys can jump around some as needed. Pre-made artwork is in the discord as I mentioned in the video. I will be making and adding more. Feel free to ask questions in the comments or discord if your running into any problems. Its a pretty easy rinse and repeat process. Once you have it down once you just do the same thing.

Yea i talk about that app in my new GFN dedicated how to video. Im not a fan of the geforce now app in discovery. I just dont get as good of performance or experience out of it compared to this setup with edge or chrome. Buts its always worth people giving it a shot.

Hi! Thank you for the tutorial. I have been using the Luna method for Fortnite. The native controller (like built into the deck) has not worked for me. I have been using a mouse and keyboard. Any tips on what I might be doing wrong? I set up a custom layout in steamos (like that a button mapped to space bar) and that kinda works but it’s a bit clunky and no aim assist in game.

I know this videos a tad out of date but I'm thinking about trying luna my question is more to do with account linking specifically Ubisoft connect would it pull my cloud save from Ubisoft connect to Luna or am I starting fresh for each game?

Hey. This video is still completely relevant and works the same. Ubisoft connect will use your cloud saves for any that have it.

Nicely explained, this helped me a lot, especially with Boosteroid. I also tried their native app wrapped by the AUR package but it flickers badly - must be a codec issue or something like that - when streaming.

Thanks for the explanation, after i follow the steps and launch LUNA, it opens the browser instead of going full screen mode (does not look like an app)

Luna can be an odd one and when u open a game you should get fullscreen ability

Cloud gaming via xbox has been 90% of my gaming on Deck. Plan on adding Windows as Proton is a pain in the arse imho. Die hard Linux fan boys will say otherwise but gaming on Linux, especially if you use Epic, Ubisoft etc is broken more often than not.

Theres a spot in the video where i talk about this and what to donin the controller settings. The default steam controller theme that loads up for boosteroid isnt right.

@@peterbode342 ahh yes different strokes n desktop mode. I believe u can just mouse up to the left corner to see the open windows and close it. Glad the video was helpful.

Where do you go to actually install GeForce NOW however? I just got my steam Deck today and downloaded the version from the Desktop mode however it isn't working when switching back into gaming mode so I assume something is aloof.

Are you talking in game or the app ui and menu. Cant use controller to navigate gfn but it does work in all the games. Make sure u watch my other gfn deck video as well. I go over some controller settings

So I've been having a serious issue with GeForce NOW. I just got my Steam Deck yesterday and the first thing I did was do all the things in order to play Destiny 2 via Cloud streaming however everything has worked fine for the first day (other then 5-10m waiting Queues for an hour of gameplay) but now when I launch it once D2 runs the audio cuts out completely and this is both on Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome, does anyone know the fix to this issue I'm having? Thanks.

I'm having trouble with geforcenow on steam deck. To take out the mic mark on pc is control G but I can't remove it on steamdeck and it takes the sound out of Medium. I also hate that thing on my screen. Does anyone know how to bring Nvidia overlay on steamdeck?

Im sorry I havent had any problems. Try the process again. And refer to the Microsoft link if needed. Sometimes its easier seeing the steps in writing.

Some are still very useful when it comes to saving storage, saving battery life and playing games the deck doesn’t support or play well. Certainly not a need but i do find GFN and Xcloud still very useful on my deck

@@GameTechPlanet I would keep xcloud, but I wouldnt see a need for geforce now. the 3080 tier is great. but the steam deck can play everything at 30 frames, so it would be more so spending that $20 on my library
