Yes I got messed up with the limited edition too cuz I ordered limited and got torched with a regular about 2 days ago and customer service doesn’t care at all didn’t even get an apology but whatever I love the deck I’ll just wait for case mods

Thank you It has so far been a great upgrade almost like a completely different deck just not in performance. But we still saw a couple of FPS due to the faster RAM and it was a hair smoother in the frametime department.

Congratulations on the new Deck, it looks amazing! I hope to get my hands on one soon. Do you think it will age well two years from now until Deck 2 comes out? I am worried about its horse power and capability to run future games.

I think it will last for quite a while It just doesn't do good at unoptimized games. Or games like Alan Wake 2 Those kind of games are just too powerful for like any handheld even my Ally can't quite handle a game like that. But for most games I can at least get 30 to 40 FPS in most AAA titles most indie games are 60 FPS as our most older games as long as you don't try to go too crazy with the settings even old games don't run the best if you try to run like 8x anti-aliasing. But I wouldn't worry too much about its power generally speaking it can play almost any game besides ones that are on optimized or online games a lot of online games have anti-cheat that just doesn't like to play well with the steam deck which is the only reason I really have the ally.

@@redcrimson1028 So when I tested mine I had to have everything on low and have FSR on and still struggled to hit 30 FPS. But that was at 25 watts unplugged It's probably a little bit better if you haven't plugged in and maxed out in armory crate.

Absolutely can, games like that and games like Sonic are what I got a Steam Deck to do so I can for sure do some of that gameplay.

I'm still surprised with how well they got it to run on the steam deck but it would be cool if it went on sale since it has been out a while but with the 2.0 Phantom Liberty update it's almost like a whole new game.

Watching you move the stick to look around it looks like there are huge deadzones on them. Like I see you turning a little and it not doing anything and then you push all the way and it turned hard. Can anyone attest to if this is just a recording thing or if the sticks just go from zero to 100 insta with big dead zones?

That's a tough one I honestly like them both about equally The ally is definitely the better go to if you care more about FPS. The Ally still has a very nice IPS 1080p screen with variable refresh rate as well. But sometimes windows can be annoying but that's not really the Allys fault Plus if you use 1080p on newer games you often get the same if not worse FPS then the steam deck from what I've noticed. As well as it killing SD cards since they put the SD card reader in a very very bad spot. Then sometimes when you put the thing to sleep whatever was running will crash. Now the steam deck is awesome with that OLED screen I like The community like let's just say a game doesn't support controller very well instead of being like just kind of screwed like I am on the ally I can go and download a complete controller scheme that somebody made off of the community page. I also really like the quick resume function where you can just shut the thing off it uses like no battery and then you can pick up right back where you were left off. So far I have almost never had it mess up I've had quick resume mess up on my Xbox more than I've had anything screw up on the steam deck. However a lot of the times games just won't run or we'll have really goofy quirks. Lots of anti-cheat doesn't work as well so not very many online games work on the steam deck. Some AAA games don't run the best on it But most of them are either unreal engine 5 games or extremely unoptimized games that don't really run that well on the other handhelds either. So it's basically up to you unfortunately I can't really give a favorite as I like them both pretty much equally for different reasons.

@@Stevendza For me the Steam Deck the Ally is not uncomfortable or anything and is lighter but feels more awkward to hold at least for me. Both are better than say my Switch with its original joycons those are too small and give my hand cramps after 30-45min.

I have not played that game specifically but in other games like Titanfall 2, I have no issues hearing exactly where enemies are just an example.

@@Mr.Mirage_YT Yep I just was not used to hearing it referred to as spatial sound. But I tested more games like Forza and I can hear where cars are around me no problem with this just like in Titanfall 2 and gunfire and whatnot. So I figure it would be fine for for COD. Both the Steam Deck and Ally have great speakers so I don't even use headphones myself. My hearing is too sensitive to really make good use of them in the first place (like I'd have to have the sound so low or my ears would hurt).

U have to get the 1tb models. U must have got 512. Only the limited and 1tb comes with Velcro case a mesh charger bag and microfiber cloth.

@@milkchnitsel1474 If I do it's whatever I only do this for fun and to try to help deal with social anxiety. Which weed helped the most with that over anything else I tried. But this channel also helped a lot it's probably the second best help in that regard. So I'd be a little sad if I lost it.
