Everyone has different preferences, but I think it's important to appreciate what each platform brings to the table.

In some ways this is why you have to love the Switch, this is a PS4 / PS5 game running on 7 year old handheld mobile tech!! The optimisation they will have done must have been very deep. The Switch 2 will be a very exciting console.

@@starblissgames Yeah, you're right, some Switch ports aren't great. But I'm really curious to see how the Switch 2 performs. With improved hardware, I hope it will enhance those older ports, offering better performance and graphics, so it doesn't feel like a waste of money on those bad ports

I've been wondering why is always the contrast so low by default on switch games... It's specially noticeable on Switch OLED. I always fix it on in-game settings and it ends up lookin consirably better and closer to other consoles.

What can I say... SD is consistently better. But taking in consideration 5 years of advancement in technology, a higher price, and a big gap in power consumption (leading in less autonomy), is it THAT better?

You could easily lower TDP to match and still better the Switch version in both performance and battery life. The Switch was impressive for the time, but the Steam Deck offers something completely different. It's not just a performance upgrade--it's literally a computer.

its impressive port for the Switch, Steamdeck might be better considered its next gen compare to Switch.. let us see how games will be compare to Switch 2, because Switch 2 not gonna be high end handheld but cheap, affordable to consumer, they wont using latest hardware on the market

I played through this game on Steam deck with a 40fps cap. It was a sublime experience. It's nice that they got it running on switch, with lower than low graphics settings, but it's still an impressive technical achievement.

Is It lower than low settings? Lighting seems to be intact, so geometry and materials rendering. There's not volumetrig fog, and there is a marked difference in resolution (both rendering res and textures res). It's not lower than low...

@@MrMorotep the lighting is baked into the textures so there isn't much difference on static lights however dynamic lights are much more basic on switch, another change is also cutcsenes are pre-rendered videos on the switch (which you could count as a plus if you have to use low settings)

I can manage to get 60fps on medium high settings with my deck but I also prefer that 40 cap for better battery life

Steam Deck can run games at a higher resolution than your device's native screen resolution. This makes the images more detailed and sharper. Textures on Steam Deck are also much more detailed.

The Steam Deck is a copy of the Nintendo Switch. The Switch is not powerful, but it is much better than the Steam Deck

You also need to remember whilst the Steam Deck is mighty impressive, the Switch 2 will run COD with online multiplayer out of the box, as a Steam Deck OLED owner that really irks me.

@Simi69 it's not too much shadow, but very colorful. I also like the fade filter so that I can see the details in the game. If you prefer the pc version of the game on Steamdeck, it's fine by me because we have differences so no problem.

@@Nsfwstar we have differences, so for me if the game is 50/50 that's fine for me. But, if the graphics is great but the gameplay is not, then it's no good game. Stray on Switch version is balanced, unlike other games like Mortal Kombat 1 in first launch is the worst port that Netherrealms Studios have done. Yes, they've updated the game which is great, but, MK11 is better than MK1.
