You removed the temp sensor. It'll not cut down heating when reaching set temperature. It'll cause over heating and burn clothes.

It was not thermostate which I have removed, instead it was an extra safety in series with thermostate. It is the function of thermostate to cut off the iron at desired temperature.

Dismantle the iron and check the resistance of element directly on its terminals, it should b below 100 ohms depending upon watts of the iron. If resistance is okay check the series fuse.

I have same iron, it doesn't cut off, it keeps heating and burns cloths due to over heat. Might be temp sensor issue but as you mentioned it should cut off heating when it's in vertical position but my iron don't cutt off even when it's vertical. Is it possible that both sensors are faulty or it could also be only because of temp sensor?

I think your iron thermostate needs some adjustment or replacement. Position sensor is an extra safety which turns of the iron when it is in vertical position. Your iron is still good if position sensitive is not working.

My stream iron leaks brown rust pieces, and haets up too much on even minimum setting. I took for repair but that guy said, it's plates have been rusted and damaged due to water. How can i fix it?

Its temperature sensor is not working. Replace it. Brown rust can be reduced by washing with plenty of water.

@@infotonics3421 we took it for repair, the guy said its circuit is totally damaged due to water leakage and rust, even if it is repaired, it will break down again. you better buy a new one. Tell me the circuit can be repaired or not?
