Steam engine #555 under steam at the Galveston Railroad Museum some time in the 1980's.Video digitized from 8mm. silent movie film.Sound was dubbed in using prerecorded sound effects from various steam engines.

Magma Arizona #5 (Built by American Locomotive Company’s Dunkirk Shops in 1922) operating at the Galveston Railroad Museum in Galveston, Texas back sometime around the 1980s as No. 555.

Where did you get the sound effects you used in this video?

From a CD of train sounds I bought at a train show years ago.When I find it I will post the name of the company that produced it.

So why can’t they run it today is I because they do t have the funding or is the loco in disrepair

It would take a lot of work and money.

So the reason is that the locomotive is missing some copper here and there and after hurricane Ike flood the museum the salt water from the sea mess with a lot of the metal on the the locomotive to make it rust more but there has been talk about it getting it going in the future
