The engineers were incredibly smart back in those days. This is a very good way to work on the soil as the actual machine going over it is light weight and does not compress the soil what would negatively impact plant growth. This should be a more gentle treatment than with modern tractors 👌

Yes but very expensive a labour intensive unfortunately.
