Ironically that proved to be a good thing for the games, by the time they release on steam, they're mostly free of bugs and get mostly positive reviews, so epic games users basically get early access for free but they also work as game testers without getting paid

The fact EGS gives away free games and still plays second fiddle to Steam goes to show just how far treating your customers like humans can go. Maybe if EGS would drop the exclusively crap, thats far behind us, and put an ounce of effort into their store. Then maybe more people would use them.

Epic is heads and shoulders above Steam in sales and I am not ready to pay double the amount for a "better" launcher. I have made my cart for this sale and it costs 12 usd for my cart epic whereas its more than double that in Steam. Not to mention Steam winter sale this year is a joke seriously.

It's not overblown at all, once you look into the kind of s__t the company does, you'll get why people hate them. Epic is even worse than EA and many others. Example, no user review system, next, Fortnite, which is pretty much gambling for kids. Next, censorship of words being literally built into the Unreal Engine, like, that is straight up going into some corporate dystopia direction. Next, exclusivity to a shameless degree, they use every oh so dirty trick to gain more users, they are worse than the Sony and so on. I could go on for a lot longer, actually, but then I would spend too much time on this comment and also waste too much of yours. But, just understand, people HATE this company for VERY good reasons.
