Will one of these whistles work on a 1.5 scale 4-8-4 Northern type engine from Little Engines?

These whistles would be too large for something like that. For something like that you'd need a one or two inch diameter. Two inch is probably even too large for 1.5 inch scale, you'll need to mount it on the running board or in between the frames so it'll look very out of place.
