Machines built in the 1950s still being useful in 2020 moving soil from a pile the one end of a field to the other end to help to level it and to make room for more rows of potatoes!

I spent many of my younger years driving a tev20, they were one of the finest small tractors ever built, very maneuvreable and very reliable. No wonder so many still exist today.

Nice to hear. They are brilliant things and still so useful today 😀

Good to see you have the common sense to have a full bucket for drag levelling the soil 😁

How does the hydraulic works for the trailer ? Did you add hydraulics couplers ?

nice machines, I have a tef, the tvo tractor in the video seems to have a spark problem? cracked distributor, points issue or something? the loader is very nice on them!
@SteveLlewellynbgr2 жыл бұрын
Thanks The problem in this video was an unusual mixture of fuel I got free off a mate… on petrol or TVO it runs perfectly. Yeah the loader is a brilliant thing and has a lot of power for the size of the tractor. Just not quite as easy to use as a modern loader but for its time it must have been and still is really, amazing.

Thanks and yeah there’s no problem at all with the tractor it was just the rubbish fuel I was burning. It’s completely fine on decent fuel

Sorry to go on but the loader tractor needs looking at before you cause damage its not firing right ??? I know I know another bloody know it all but just trying to help !!

Nice up load but not wishing to sound rude that tractor is not running as it should or its the sound system either way good fun to watch !! sorry sounds better when on the trailer !!!!!!!!

You are 100% right there it was running pretty awfully and would only run at high revs. A garage I go to occasionally gives me some free fuel when they have had to pump a tank out after the wrong fuel has been put it. This stuff has a little bit more diesel in it than I thought. I added more clean petrol after and it was fine. I’m sure some experts may get upset about using fuel with diesel in but its not done any damage over the last few years 🙂.

@@SteveLlewellynbgr Well being a 100% know it all and i do know everything trust me i do NOT !!!!!!!!!!! I get where you are coming from but i would not do that to the old girl she is like me old and i struggle on anything but yorkshire tea if i drink anything else i run on 3 not 4 if you get my drift so just give her good fuel please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@@allanhughes7859 👍 know what you are saying. I am currently running on a proper TVO mix as we now have a kerosene heating tank that’s easy to get some out of. 🙂. If I get offered some free fuel again I’m not sure what my answer would be but need to come up with something more scientific than the smell test to check what’s mixture it is! 😂

In view of current situation and to record it all for posterity, can I give you 10 out of 10? Otherwise I would only have given you 7. Credit for no wheel spin, Points lost for Clutch spinach. You'll HAVE to get a proper bucket - Balanced MT - lucky you've got easiiy worked SOIL-not the stones we have to put up with! Aworthy show for usand for the future - thankyou !
@SteveLlewellynbgr4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, yes a balanced bucket would be a nice thing. I do have a spare one that I haven’t yet tried. I was actually quite surprised how easy the soil was to move, it had been sat there for probably about a year. I have moved tons of soil and stone with that fergie over the years And hard soil can certainly be a pain but once you’ve got a workable face to attack it’s not too bad. But certainly tricky. The weight on the back certainly cuts down the want for it to wheel spin but will happily do so on wet ground They are brilliant little machines for their age, thanks for the comment.
